    He didn't resign, he opted out of the 2016 leadership contest.* My bet is he'll be back - the Tories will want (and probably need) a populist at the helm for the next general election e.g. in 2020

    Given the state of the likely opposition (both in terms of parties, and prospective leaders within them), yes! Would be lying if I said I thought he will necessarily make a terribly good PM, however. Doesn't exactly strike me as being a 'safe pair of hands' and is perhaps a little too out for himself :erm:
