At SOAS an email was sent round saying that they were auditioning for a UC team, 7 people showed up, and we whittled it down to 5 (ie. 4 plus reserve) via a 30 question quiz. It was a slightly more democratic process than the year before, where an email was sent round, 4 people replied, and we grabbed a guy out of the Student Union bar to be the reserve.

Every Student Union gets the forms sent round, so it's a question of watching out for announcements or nagging your JCR President if it's not publicised.

Next week will be interesting - Yorkshire vs Lancashire! Any such rivalry is good. Thougb I doubt many people will see it as such given most people only recognise the silly admin districts rather than the proper ceremonial counties which actually exist, or even better the traditional, historic counties which apparently were never actually abolished in the 70s so I'm lead to believe...

Dont have a clue billyboy when we are on. Hopefully we wont lose this time. Or not too badly

Last year they didnt run the competition to get on the show right well. This year they did a proper quiz.

This year Ben Potter is our Education Officer in the union.

Only 4 go through as best losers. They play each other and the two winners go through into the last 16.

No. Quite the opposite in fact.

But of course, we've all got to be miserable modernist ***** now, don't we?
