He wasss? I knew I was missing out on something when I never watch DC in my life.
For a few episodes in series 5 But I don't think you were missing much else.

As for what would attract someone to a site... that's hard. Nice design- clean and simple is always good. Maybe it's just me being nosy, but I always like to know something about the person who made the site. Apart from that, just a topic that I'm interested in, and updates every now and then. That's probably not very helpful is it?

I guess I'm just asking a question which nobody can really answer for me, "how do I make a guaranteed successful site?" .. if you guys knew you'd be making it!

I'm surprised at the range of domains still available. I was always under the impression that every possible combination of letters forming pronounceable words under 15 letters was already taken.

    How's this?

Rantcollection.com, I get people to submit random rants on various current affairs/general issues, and organise them into things which may be amusing to read. It will allow for regular newsletters listing new submissions etc, and a rant system. And will generally be full of arrogance and attitude, which will be great.

Not even when it's directed at a random stranger?

I went off that idea last night though, could be a job convincing people to write/read. So I'm back to square1!

I used to visit a poll website - it just had a massive selection of polls where you voted for your opinion on all sorts of issues with new ones added every day.

You had to register and they had a comment option for each poll.

If you could attract enough people through word of mouth (get a few students to pass the word round on uni networks and you'll be away) then your sample sizes will start to be significant - and you might be able to link up with some market research companies to pass on the details of people with a certain opinion for further research (if they consent of course).

Someone mentioned porn earlier, I have actually recently had a really good idea to make money with a website for people who appreciate sensuality and passion and fantasy-like love-making, but it would have no nude pictures on it whatsoever (well, maybe a couple soft ones). Intrigued? I'm thinking when I get to uni I'll find someone who knows about running websites to set it up with, then we could both sit back and let bored housewives pay our tuition lol. That's if it was a success of course, which I'm sure it will be once it gets off the ground.
