That does not equate to a 'greater' country.
We have good living standards, and it is a good place to live - but our 'greatness' isn't solely defined by those things, in terms of politics and foreign policy, we have a fairly tragic history in recent years.

IIRC, Yvette Cooper made up some nonsense that she wouldn't do it because the Government wasn't taking in enough refugees - used to think her husband was the horrible one, but turns out that she is.

If you promise to get us a better deal with the EU, but then fail to deliver, of course people will be angry.
