That does not equate to a 'greater' country.

We have good living standards, and it is a good place to live - but our 'greatness' isn't solely defined by those things, in terms of politics and foreign policy, we have a fairly tragic history in recent years.
    How is it tragic?

Well the crimes were an everyday occurrence, they were just revealed all at once.
Newsworthiness can be a pretty fickle thing.

we started the Iraq war which is indirectly responsible for almost all of the problems with terrorism we have today, that alone is pretty tragic, alongside the myriad of other things

IIRC, Yvette Cooper made up some nonsense that she wouldn't do it because the Government wasn't taking in enough refugees - used to think her husband was the horrible one, but turns out that she is.

Bob Geldof could pay for an entire refugee camp.

State-side George Clooney said he would, but of course didn't.

    Sheer hypocrisy.

All chit-chat and empty promises to fuel their pathetic agendas.

If you promise to get us a better deal with the EU, but then fail to deliver, of course people will be angry.
