Do the clearing grade boundaries drop after the first day of clearing?
Some courses get filled in the first day so universities don't even have the time to lower boundaries. But a few that had spaces started dropping them e.g. Kent went from like BBB to CCC for Psychology. Do not count on this to happen, most unis don't do it.

Oh god but I was rushing. I accepted one offer because it was the first I got after so long then I decided to follow my heart and ask them to release me. It was so difficult because then I didn't have a university again.

There wasn't any on campus but luckily I got a place literally 30 seconds from the university which was ironically closer than uni accommodation.
Ah ok! So you put one offer into Track, then asked to be released back into Clearing... that's pretty heavy but shows how important it is to take your time Pretty brave of you to follow your heart.

Awesome, in private accommodation? How was the housemate situation?

Ahhhh, fair enough! Well, I guess at least it's good you're staying there for continuity sake - any particular reason??
A few reasons.. I decided that I had more opportunities with volunteering and general 'getting involved' where I am (Aberdeen), I didn't want to leave the Philosophy side of my course (at UEA I'd just be doing Psych alone), I'm already so close with some lecturers and I love how passionate they are. I do think Aberdeen is a highly depressing city and much preferred Norwich but I had to just think of the opportunities. That being said, I was so so impressed with UEA when I visited. All in all, a massively difficult decision to make which I didn't reach until July.

Yes I did! Then I put another one in after a few days and shortly after, I had an email from Aberdeen telling me I had an offer. So I was released from two universities in the end. Thanks so much!

Yes, private. Housemates were all first year so that was fine - we didn't see each other much or spend time with each other but I suppose it's just luck with regards to who you end up with

Yes it does. As long as the grades quoted are yours and everything is correct, the place is yours. Just respond & let them know when you've added them as a choice.

Surprisingly quick. Took 4-5 days for the new entitlement letter to come through after I changed my university online.

You have to call a university and have phone confirmation before you can add a clearing choice. If they don't accept you over the phone, they'll probably reject you right now. Call up your university & ask if they'll take you. The rules are: getting phone confirmation and THEN adding them as a clearing choice.

Ah sorry. It's just that you asked how long it took them to make a decision. If you've phoned them and they've said yes then the decision is already made & you are in They should accept you by tomorrow hopefully. If not, just call or email to remind them.

Haha no don't worry about it - clearing is stressful & universities can make mistakes, I understand. But yes, just remind them tomorrow if you're still worried & don't forget to amend student finance if you've applied.

I have applied but my parents live abroad so i had to go through a lot of form filling to get their income and stuff and i havent sent off their income evidence yet like payslips i have to wait 2 weeks because they have to post it from tenerife and their postal system is very bad... so student finance wont get my parents info for another 2 weeks which should be ok i may just get finance late i assume?

Haven't had experience with sending it late but I believe that's what happens yes, you get paid late. Could be on time depending on when you start university

    Hi,

I was given an offer through clearing to study mathematics at Leeds early this morning. However, since then I've not received an email from Leeds confirming this. Should I be worried that I may infact not have an offer?
