    My recipe books and music scores. One thing I've found throughout my undergraduate years is that making time to do your hobbies and to relax is really important alongside actual academic work, so having the equipment to do that with is essential!

    For me it would have to be my mobile phone. Especially when commuting to and from a semi-local university, you need a mobile phone to arrange the daily commutes etc. Not to mention that it gives you an easy way to access the internet, keep in touch with people via calls/texts/instant messenger/hangouts/skype etc, and make lecture notes via the voice recorder function of most mobile phones (though a decent voice recorder would be better).

    Other things would be advantageous to have with you, but a mobile phone is essential (particularly a half decent smartphone).
