I think the point that needs to be taken away by everyone who sees the term 'SJW' as an insult, is to be damn grateful for all the lucky breaks you got at birth.

I check my privilege every 20 minutes to make sure I can't possibly be offending any minorities within a 300 mile radius of me through microaggressions such as staring at something behind them when from their view I could be staring at them.

Because of this I have taken to adding 2 shots of bleach with my glass of milk every morning but then I remember some people are lactose intolerant so I need to check my dairy consuming privilege and just drink straight bleach.

Seriously though, you have a machine at your fingertips that gives you access to almost the entirety of human knowledge, you have food in your fridge, a roof over your head, clothes on your back and shoes on your feet, access to medical care and education, and the opportunity that comes with all of those things. Even without the additional advantages that you may or may not tick off on that bingo card. We are so damn lucky in a first world country in the 21st century, and so few people even acknowledge it.

If more people realised this, then maybe they would be happy to help others rather than constantly complaining and trying to fight to be the top of some imaginary pile that is already idyllic.

True. But the problem is that the SJW movement, from what I have seen, tends to devalue these real privileges, instead focusing on questionable and trivial ones. The additional advantages are minor. They are the ones who are imagining things, positing that everything is about race and gender. No, it's about where you're born, and how much money you have. I don't care if you're a black transsexual or whatever, if you come from wealth, you're far better off than all the white cis straight males who don't. It is utterly ridiculous how they complain more about gender stereotyping and insults that can be construed as misogynistic than they do about women being literal second-class citizens in third-world countries. One argument is, well, they're doing something, but it seems a lot of the time they are controlling the narrative, and always directing it onto utter bulls**t rather than real inequality.

you mean that "gap" that is based on the free choices of women, not based on men and women in the same job but men and women in general? does that "gap" account for women preferring to work part time, more social hours, take more or longer holidays, being less assertive for promotions, etc? it's basically a gap that makes sense and is not based on sexual discrimination - if women are to be fully economically equal to men then they apparently aren't allowed to make free choices?

    oh, what, you mean fiction?
also, I don't even know what you mean by "abused" - are women in "pron" not allowed kinks? are they not allowed free choices again? you sound as if you're basically treating women as children who can't look after themselves or make choices in their own interests! if women didn't want to be in "pron" then they wouldn't be involved in it, so what's the problem? female ignorance? wow, how feminist

that's nonsense! I can't even name one person who would legitimately blame a woman for being raped! you're just lying now, or at least reading the script of feminism!

what about "cock", "dick", etc, to imply negativity?!
also, women mostly *are* weaker than men - is that not a fact?!
This article: http://content.time.com/time/nation/...Top+Stories%29 outilnes how when you account for differences you've mentioned (eg. hours worked, job etc) the gap gets smaller, but still exists. It's nothing to do with the free choices of women, obviously they are allowed to make those choices and they should be payed equally once they've made those choices.
Alright, I misspelled porn, get over it. I'm less reffering to the actual content of porn, and more the culture of female pornstars being badly exploited and abused, and the sexual violence that porn has created. It's very sad, but undeniably porn creates sexual violence against women.
Have you heard of Brock Turner? This is the guy who was in jail for 3 months after raping someone. You can't deny sexism exists when in the US, one of, if not the, most developed nations in the world, women are raped and the rapist only spends 3 months in jail.
Yes, you're right, "dick" and other words to imply negativity are a problem. But that's another thing feminism fights for! It's not all about female rights, occasionally males end up at the butt end of sexism, and feminism aims to change that too.

by about, what, 2%? oh my god! how significant(!)
and you know what? there are "gaps" out there for all sorts of people - particularly short men stufdies seem to find. but who's going to make a ****ing law to prevent unpreventable discrimination against short people?

It's nothing to do with the free choices of women, obviously they are allowed to make those choices and they should be payed equally once they've made those choices.
if it's "nothing" to do with choice, why does the gap *heavily* recede after you account for those choices?
and they are paid equally - there's a law that prevents unequal pay on the groups of gender - what more do you need? the mountains to move under your toes?

Alright, I misspelled porn, get over it.
    I was only playing along

absolutely ****ing ridiculous. where are you getting this nonsense from? let women have all the kinky sex they want without being shamed by you for it. you don't have to judge them for it or accuse them of being mistreated - that's honestly insanely patronising. if you're prepared to let men do porn and not accuse them of being exploited, why are you doing it for women? again, like I said before, it's almost as if you look at women as if they're nothing but irresponsible and helpless children! women are allowed to have rough sex for money - so are men - get over it.

Have you heard of Brock Turner? This is the guy who was in jail for 3 months after raping someone. You can't deny sexism exists when in the US, one of, if not the, most developed nations in the world, women are raped and the rapist only spends 3 months in jail.
right - could you name me a few more examples of men going to prison for 3 months for rape? and by the way, the case of brock turner was literally of a young man putting his penis into a girl who didn't even feel it nor was she aware of what was going on - I'm not excusing rapists but how many *years* would you expect for an act so criminally mediocre? you realise that there are female paedophiles out there who hardly ever go to prison, yet I don't hear you complaining about that - because that's a much larger issue than this. hell, there are court cases where a teacher raped a 13 year old boy and then the boy had to pay ****ing child support even though he was raped! what about that? why wasn't *that* your example? unbelievable

Yes, you're right, "dick" and other words to imply negativity are a problem. But that's another thing feminism fights for! It's not all about female rights, occasionally males end up at the butt end of sexism, and feminism aims to change that too.
oh jesus, no it doesn't...don't say that...nobody on this earth believes you when you say ludicrous nonsense like "feminism wants to help men" - men are the villain in the narrative of feminism. who is the villain behind "the patriarchy"? who is the prime suspect behind "rape culture" and "female objectification"? exactly - men. if you think feminism wants to help men, would you care to tell me what feminism is doing to give men equal legal reproductive rights? uuuuuum? nothing?

Did you even read the article, even slightly, in response to all of your arguments relating to the wage gap? Can you get me some evidence that the gap "heavily recedes" when you account for all the free choices? And the law is, honestly, fantastic, but the problem remains and so more action is sadly needed

I'm not patronising women who are pornstars, or who have kinks. That's fine, that's absolutely cool with me. You're using a straw man argument. The problem is exploitation of women on the set. Plenty of pornstars are not abused, which is great. Plenty are, and the people who do it are untouchable. You also didn't address the problem of sexual violence caused by violent (and I mean violent, not kinky, there's a line) pornography.

Are you suggesting that rape is alright if the person doesn't feel it? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! Would you like to find out you've been penetrated when you were unconscious? IDK whether you're male or female, but as a male I hate the idea of waking up to discover I'd been taken advantage of. That's enough to destroy a person. And I didn't include those examples because, honestly, I didn't know about them. I'm sorry. I gave one fair example, your examples were fair also.

As I said, I am a male who is part of the feminism movement. I've NEVER had a feminist say anything bad against me for being a male. Also, have you heard of Emma Watson? Try this: https://images.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=...minism.jpg&f=1

    http://www.wsj.com/news/articles/SB1...83752909957472
unmarried women earned 96% of men's earnings
    -so that's a 4% gap.

are we even going to talk about the fact that men, by almost 100%, die at work, unlike women? don't you think ****ing *dying* is a little more important than getting paid less by 4%? I won't even go into the problem of how if 4% is a problem to you while something like 90% of inmates being male isn't...

I honestly think you have no clue about "violent pornography" and that you're vaguely echoing something you've heard in some feminist buzzfeed or huff article. are you talking about pimping or something? because pornogaphy is a regulated industry where women are actually paid greatly and if they were mistreated they could sue the ever loving *ass* off of whoever was abusing them. don't you think that our society would take something like rape *extremely* seriously? you're talking about the west in 2016 where ever a "cat call" gets treated like some ****ing hate crime.

Are you suggesting that rape is alright if the person doesn't feel it? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard!
    I - explicitly - stated:
    "I am not defending rapists"
:| so, what's with your strawman, buddy? is this all you have against me? a strawman?

Would you like to find out you've been penetrated when you were unconscious? IDK whether you're male or female, but as a male I hate the idea of waking up to discover I'd been taken advantage of. That's enough to destroy a person.
ehhh - I wonder what you'd tell me if I said I thought violent rapes were far worse...probably something predictable like "you love rapists!!!!1!!1!"

Try this: https://images.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=...minism.jpg&f=1
lol 'have I heard of emma watson'...oh boy. so let me take a frantic guess: "he for she"? the title alone sounds as typical as all feminism - "men must work for women"...

and by the way, pal: feminism claims that all men are "privileged". it claims that there is a patriarchy. it claims that *you* are oppressing them. this isn't a movement that gives a damn about you. if it was, I'd have joined it even before you.

Red hair has been around a lot longer than the Irish people's have and most ethnically Irish people I know tend to have black hair, white skin and blue eyes anyway
