Unless somebody made them do it at gunpoint, but there's little chance of that.

    Not I said the fly...

No, ive been lucky in that way, plus everyone loves me *no ego detected *

But I do remember people used to tease the computer kids (not really the smart kids) when we were in like grade 8 and 9, now everyone is cool with everyone.

But there was a very cruel joke played on a well, 'geek' where he was voted hottest guy in the grade, (I was fortunate enough to pick up "Savviest Chick" ) It was a set up by the rugby league boys...

Lucky this guy has a great personality, he laughed and said "Ive already got my speech" so we are going to give it to him after all. Im so cut another guy missed out though! But at least this will make the formal fun!

I was a hardcore geek back during GCSEs. Did nothing except study or play computer games. Then at 6th form the penny dropped that there was so much more to life. Definitely don't have any regrets though, it helped me get to where I am now, hasn't affected present social life / skills at all, and I don't really think about the past. For success in adult life geeks largely go nowhere - for many of the top professions social skills - being able to interact well with clients, your colleagues etc, and looking good - confident, well dressed etc, plays a huge part.

The same pretty much happened to me until sixth form, I was doing A Level French and Geography along with my GCSEs then. By sixthform I could relax and just do four A Levels and have enough time to socialise and participate in extra curricular activities.

I just love FriendsReunited, "Yeah I'm working in nightclub reviewing and promoting, radio clubbing correspondent" they're like "WTF, but you were the complete geek" lol.
