I am very out of touch with modern shows and would like some ideas on where to start, I want to start watching popular TV shows that a lot of people watch so during conversations I have something to talk about.

So what do you guys and girls suggest?

I am male and in my early 20's.
STRANGER THINGS!!! My favourite show of the year! I usually don't like shows with a huge amount of hype around them but boy, is this show good. If you're a Sci-Fi or a Stephen King fan, I highly, HIGHLY recommend you check it out. It's on Netflix but I believe you can *potentially* watch it online?

If you're on Amazon Prime, you might want to check out Lucifer. It's basically all about if the devil himself moved to LA. The premise is a little odd but once you get into it, it's pretty good to watch.

As far as British TV goes:
Blackadder (not modern, still awesome)
Peep Show (not modern, still hilarious)
The Inbetweeners (not exactly a modern show but still absolutely hilarious)
The I.T Crowd (also not exactly modern, but Moss is the best)
Sherlock (absolutely amazing)

If you're into superheroes:
Jessica Jones (David Tennant plays a really creepy baddie in it)
Daredevil
Luke Cage

Comedy:
Brooklyn Nine Nine
Modern Family

A few others:
Black Mirror
Humans
Game of Thrones
