    i quit today, YAY!!!!! ...

not beacause of customers just because of uni/summer anyways i thought i would share with you my customer annoyance:

    i worked in a cafe/resteraunt in a garden centre (small - 1 chef)
served breakfast till 11.30 and start lunch at 12.00 (so chef can prep and what ever).....

same people, 3 or 4 do this... come in at half past or round then. they que up and they start going " stake and ale pie".
"sorry we dont start lunch untill 12".
"you can still take the order"
"Err no"( im not supposed to as chef doesnt want to have a mountain of tickets before lunch service even begins).

one time i refused to take order - so they stood at the front of que untill i 12.00

My frustration is why don't these same people who are regulars and thefore know the time of services. leave home 15 mins later to avoid the same weekly shenanigans.

o and 2bh i hate regulars because you know exactly what they are going to say and then i become iriated at their rehearsed voice saying the sentance of "pot of tea for two",,, garrr p**s off

Looking forward to clearance?! lol. lingerie doesnt get too bad does it? CCP is always HELL..

    No lingerie is never busy...

clearance is our worst time of year cause women are more likely to try bras on..cause they're cheap and then realise its the wrong size and get fitted, plus the mess it makes..is..wow..unbelievable, like some bra explosion in the 60's lol

I am vaguely looking forward too it really, we took 93k last year, so we're going to aim for 100k this year..so would be interesting

working on the checkouts at tesco makes me want to kill myself ;/

many examples of idiot customers [i've been there 11 months now], eg today woman had a 10 minute rant because there was only one packet of fish fingers left and she wanted two. she then wants to see checkout manager, then frozen food manager then bloody store manager.

    WTF? loser.

    ;/

I hate people who come to buy something and don't have any money, they then go out the shop to the car to get some, leaving all the things on the counter while there's a huge queue to go and get their money, sometimes they don't even come back so I'm waiting for ages for them to return! (my manager doesn't like us voiding things on the till even in these cases!)

I also hate people who come to buy something, wait in the queue, get to the front, and just before they pay say 'hold on just need to pick up something else"!!! they then go and run around the shop to find something else.
It's nice to see the frustration of the customers in the queue at the person who does either of these things as I'm supposed to stay polite and apparently cheerful.

I was supervising at Sainsbreeze today (I was in full control for a few hours which was pretty scary).

Everyone was generally nice but this one woman start complaining that the conveyor belts were too dirty and that we should clean them more often. My manager explained we can't because we're too busy and she was like, well yes, that's the problem. Then I had to help her sort out some problem where she didn't get 3p off her Mr Kipling Battenburg slices. I explained she had the multibuy wrong and she just rolled her eyes like I was an idiot and walked off without a word.

I find old people are both the best and worst customers...

Urghhh i had such a crappy customer tonight at work! Thought I'd share it with you all!!!
Our store shuts at 4pm...but i was still there at 4.45pm putting his stupids items through because he had to be awkward and have things ordered in and...and he wanted to sign up for a finance card too...if you want these things why not come into the store well beforeeeeee it closes...not when it closes!!!
The he was standing there when all through the time i was processing his order...using my name in the most patronising way (another thing i hate about customers sometimes!) saying..."so, for this inconvenience to ME...what are you going to do?? eh eh what are you giving me free? what discount eh eh eh???" ...he was already getting 20% off his £700 order...but no he wanted more...for HIS inconvenience...apparently...eve n though i was the one who ended up staying late to finish closing up!
    *Rant over*!!! =)

don't know if its been mentioned yet, but on facebook there is a group called "those who work in shops but hate customers" which has a hillarious set of posts

the most common seemed to be the infamous "do you work here?" that customers stupidly say, when your stood behind a till in full uniform, name badge etc

I think the whole customer service thing is going to far now, sure I don't mind being friendly with the customers, say Hi and Thanks etc, and chat to them if they start up conversation. But some shops I've been in (such as M&S) the staff have started asking what your doing that day etc its like I only came in to buy a sandwich, not to socialise. I think sometimes it can be off-putting to customers if the staff are trying to be their best freind!

As others have said...I really hate it when a customer doesn’t say one word throughout the entire transaction and is huffing and puffing because I'm not scanning their clothes fast enough! I then make it my point to be so nice to them. Today some stuck up woman "excuse me can you go any faster, I actually have to be somewhere and I'm late" "Sorry, I'm going as fast as i can" ...me thinking to myself "If you’re ****ing late don’t go and buy half the ****ing shop before you 'have to be somewhere'."

When people put clothes on, queue up and ask to pay for it. "sorry sir, you are going to have to take them jeans off before you pay"..."why is that?"..."There is a security tag in it so it would prove difficult for me to take it out"..."Can I not just jump up their to get it off"..."No you ****ing well can't, I'm not having you jump up on my desk, then me having to put my hands down your trousers just to get the security tag off. Take the jeans off you lazy *******"

Occasionally we miss a security tag and the beepers go off. Some customers are fine about it, however, others go mental. One of the employees at my work was given death threats because she missed the tag.

Another thing I hate is when kids play on the escalators and you tell them to stop and their parents get all arsey! control you children for **** sake!

    Ok rant over lol

im gonna add a few more

when i was working at the sparks, there were a few huffy middle aged women who, when i was folding their clothes into the bag..they'd rip it out of my hands and do it themselves. On top of that, whilst working at la senza we put lingerie in really nice pretty bags whilst being all wrapped up..anyway during sale time we'd just pop them into plastic bags, some women get SO angry about this when buying cheap £2 knickers lol

ALSO there is an announcement every 5 mins, plus sign after sign after sign at cribbs causway yet stupid parents still let their snotty spoilt kids roll around in heelies
