so basically your saying the west should withdraw support for Israel and just sit back watching the genocide as the Arab nations ethnically cleanse Israel? Hmm does this strike anyone else as "absolutely vile"?
What on EARTH are you talking about? There's only one country doing the ethnic cleansing, and that's Israel. Have you seen the casualty figures?

The Arab governments barely support the Palestinians, they're hardly going to attack Israel just because the west withdraws its support (not that it'll ever happen).

This ignorance is starting to become tiring

You do know that Israel has nuclear weapons, don't you? In fact, for some reason (*backing of USA*), they don't have to tell everyone what exactly they have:rolleyes:
America gives Israel billions of dollars of weapons each year; do they really need any more? Sponsors of state terrorism, anyone? You probably won't notice the parallel, though!

They've put it to the table before, and Palestinian leaders at the time refused. Besides, I honestly think that would be a terrible idea.
It would not be ideal, I will give you that. But what other option is there that would be remotely just with regards the plight of the Palestinian people? There is no feasible way to remove Israel, especially in light of the weapons it has and the disgusting lobbies it possesses in the Western capitals, sponsors of state terrorism that they are.

It's a vicious circle really. One side does something, to which the other side retaliates, which they react to etc. The irony is that the same kind of discrimination against Palestinians that might result of this is the reason why some of them are angry enough to continue carry out attacks like this, so Israel will not be safe anymore than before if they impose further restrictions on Palestinians.
Reversing some of this and improving living standards in the occupied areas would do more help in my opinion in the long term, that's what created the resistance, not gonna happen though.

On a side note, how can any Israeli/Jewish people with an active memory of the Holocaust, or at least, a memory kept alive through unceasing evocation of it, now advocate savage restrictions on the travel of a subjugated population, as well as their covert ethnic cleansing (which, make no mistake, is efectively what is being done)? I just don't understand it. What is the underlying principle; the Germans tried to practice genocide against us 65 years ago, so now we have the right to act in the same way based on some kind of scripture? Riiiiight. One of the best commentators on this-and bear in mind, his memoirs were published in 1945-has to be Ronald Storrs in Orientations.

Simple; desensitization. This happened to a lot of Germans during the Third Reich. Also, it can help to think that God is on your side too, regardless of what you're doing.
