Contraceptive jabs and implants aimed at girls as young as 13 watch

    (Original post by CyclopsRock)
I can't imagine there is anyone out there, 13 or no, who is refusing to have sex on the basis that they have no access to contraceptives. Condoms are readily available, the pill slightly less so but hardly unreachable for young girls (given that it can help control periods, too) so the idea that they're all just waiting for these other methods to have sex is mad. As a result, of course they should be available. Why anyone thinks contraceptives should be restricted is beyond me.
    Wow...old thread!

The risk of significant complications (both from intercourse and from the contraceptives) could be one reason for possible reluctance.

I thought it was illegal to have sex under the age of 16 so this policy is a bit silly really.
Were you ever put in isolation at school?
