Saying that, I seem to be one of the few left on here who would appreciate having £30K for a whole family - considering my parents raised myself, my sister and my brother on <£15K in reasonable comfort.
I'm with you. My mum raised me alone on far less than that. I would feel very privalaged indeed to earn 30k. Money is not what makes you happy; the people around you make you happy (as long as you're comfortable financially).

Because it would alleviate suffering for all the poor *******s who live on sod all.
Hahahahaha!

Even if the CEO were to cut his salary, the monkeys at the bottom wouldn't be seeing a penny of it.

Most ridiculous person this week.

You're thinking inside the box. It's obvious you don't wanna debate though, just mock people instead.

People who own their own businesses are true millionaires, even doctors etc make 100k a year IF that by the age their about 40-50 they'll get taxed about 64k left over, not really a millionaires salary. Whereas a good small to medium size business can be easily bringing in 300k profits.

Are you asking because you want to be rich?
yeah of course, and who doesn't?

Don't be a doctor for the money - we start around minimum wage.

Rich people's jobs? I don't think the truly rich have jobs as we would understand them.
What do you mean?

There should be a cap on how much you earn. No job is worth 200k or whatever
No there shouldn't be a cap

I might be over generalising, but the very very rich don't have day jobs for their income.

nope. The guys at the top of the food chain are usually drug pushers and all of that jizz. Money feels much better when you actually work for it!

Also, if you want rich, i would consider the financial path, somehting of a stock broker or something like that, however in times like these im sure the financial sector has been the worst hit:woo:

Every GP I've ever spoke to below the age of 35 has told me how much they regret going into general practice because of these very reasons.
Yeah, its a hard life earning 100k+ every year.

Anyone read the book - Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki ?

The gist of it is if you have 'financial intelligence' [and not just academic knowledge we gain from school] anyone with a decent enough job can become a millionaire by 30-40 or so

Dentist's can become pretty loaded. There's a couple on the rich list as well. If you go into private work it is quite common for the principal of a practice to earn £250k+,associates will get 80-120k and that can be for 3 and half days work a week. If you own a couple of practices or move to Harley Street, yearly income could be close to £1m. You'll work hard for it though.

Highly demanding courses also give you good scope as well, whilst they are vocational, they are widely respected, it is still possible to get a job in management at a PLC.

It doesnt matter what you do, if you are good - and by that I mean the best, at anything you will be loaded. Some of the richest men in the world started doing very mundane things. One was a scrap metal merchant when he started, now is a billionaire.
