apparently my water is not treated well enough and sometimes contains e.coli!(as any irish poster will testify) most of our water sources, outside dublin are from aquifers which are untreated. all they really do is just add fluorine and chlorine. sometimes, when it rains too much, cow poo gets washed into the water and half of ireland gets ecoli infections  how fun yeah? so really the engergy being wasted is minimal.
Do you think the pipe in your sink leads back to a reservoir?

Really? Er, why? When there will be a whole 2 or 3 minutes that you won't need to use the water?!

I always do now, I feel really guilty if I don't :dontknow:

It irritates me greatly when my best friend doesn't. I always switch it off for her when we're sleeping over haha. There's no excuse for it!

nope, to a sceptic tank, which allows water to percolate down into the soil.

I turn it off to save water :yep:, plus, it really annoys me when a tap is on and not being used.

The environment -- not to mention the world -- has problems of greater magnitude than this.
