But you would be. Even if it takes you 20 years to age what we would normally do between 30 and 40 that could (would?) translate into forty or even sixty years of slow, painful and incontinent decline - and that's assuming we could delay neurological ageing along with physical ageing.
Saying there'd be forty/sixty years of painful decline after equivalent age forty implies that once you're past forty life is a bit not worth living. I don't think it's that bad to be over forty.
