    Prodigious because it starts off with a P

    Fascinating because its pronunciation starts off with the "ff" sound...

    Checkmate.

    Nope! It's M2 WJEC, and then M1 AQA, so I won't have had to have covered it :lol:
    Fine then

    \mathrm{Consider \ vertical \ motion}:

    s = ut + \frac{1}{2} at^2

    0 = 30t \sin 45^{\circ} + \frac{1}{2} (-9.81)(t^2)

    15t\sqrt{2} - 4.905t^2 = 0

    t(15\sqrt{2} -  4.905t) = 0

    t = 0, \ \dfrac{1000\sqrt{2}}{327}

    \mathrm{Reject} \ t=0 \ \mathrm{as \ looking \ for \ final \ time}.

    \mathrm{Consider \ horizontal \ motion}:

    s = ut + \frac{1}{2} at^2

    s = ( 30\cos 45^{\circ} ) \left(\dfrac{1000\sqrt{2}}{327} \right) + \frac{1}{2}(0) \left( \dfrac{1000\sqrt{2}}{327} \right)

    s = 91.7 \ \mathrm{m \ \ \ \ \ }  (\mathrm{3 \ s.f.})

    \mathrm{For \ max \ height}:

    \mathrm{Max \ s \ at} \ v=0;

    v^2 = u^2 + 2as

    0 = (30 \sin 45^{\circ})^2 + 2(-9.81)(s)

    s = 22.9 \ \mathrm{m \ \ \ \ \ }  (\mathrm{3 \ s.f.})

    :mmm:
