No, I'm saying that because I just saw a lasagne from a well known supermarket which was made with British only beef but put together in France only to be sold again in the UK...
Britain and France are so close that it could travel a shorter distance (a short hop over the Channel from southeast England to northern France) than say to northern England or Scotland.

Not entirely sure what economics has to do with this, but it's not necessarily that silly, suppose most of the cow is being used in France, is it that illogical that the bit being used in the lasagna also goes to France with the rest and made in France, particularly if it's the cheap version and it's made from the really crappy leftovers.
i guess I can see that, like I said I don't know but it just strikes me as being weird.

I know... I can't work out where the beef is from though. I've never seen down in the south east

I spent the first 9 years of my life in the South East. I must have seen cows.

Obviously I see a lot more now living in Mid Wales - and sheep.

I can't have never seen a cow in Kent. That's ridiculous. All around my house was soft fruit (the strawberries served at Wimbledon, nonetheless) though so...

There are cows across the lane from my house. We have plenty of cows in Wales.

I've definitely seen sheep in Kent.

There's nothing special about Welsh cows, although we have the whole "Cig Eidion Cymreig - Welsh Beef" marketing thing here, as if the cows in England are the spawn of Satan or something. (Maybe not quite)

Which in Welsh is called Pontarfynach - or "monk's bridge". At one point I knew the story behind it, but most of the Welsh Nat brainwashing I've kind of forgotten now.

It's the devil help the villagers build the bridge but only if he could claim the soul of the first person to cross. The towns people agreed and the bridge was built. But the old woman of the town sent her dog across first tricking the devil and so the dog died and the devil was mad.

I may have heard that once.

The bridges look interesting though, and that's an enormous gorge.

You need to read the Mabinogion then.
