Why Rodwell isn't in I'll never know. Rodwell was impressive for Everton last year whilst Wilshere was shipped off on loan to Bolton and hardly did anything. I think Wilshere is a promising player and should be in there, but I also believe Rodwell should be as well.

Baines should also be in there. Gibbs is good, but Baines is the finished article at this moment. He assists consistently. Anyone who shrugs him off after the Mexico game is a fool, Gerrard was infront of him at left mid, cutting inside all day long. Ashley Cole struggled to get forward with Gerrard playing infront of him in the WC, but it only seemed to be noticed that Gerrard in left mid was the problem when Cole came back.

I don't know why Barry is still in there. We need to be looking past him for the future, he is filth average.

He was execellent up until last november, then broke his ankle. If he hadn't been injured he would have played for England before now. Might as well be in the squad now, because he'll be better than other left back choices by 2012.
This is questionable. Baines is 25. I don't question that Gibbs has potential, but he has done nothing up until now compared to Baines.

Capello is trying to keep the faith by including a few youngsters for a meaningless friendly against some nation who will never win anything but he still includes the same old failures. The only changes to the actual team will be the keeper, a partner for Terry and a partner for Rooney. Terry and Barry shouldn't be in the squad, even if only for this friendly.

    Too many United players tbph

Even Arsenal have more than you now :facepalm2:
Walcott doesn't count. He's ****. Arsenal can have him tbh

Put the lad on an athletics track for London 2012, put him in a sprint competition and he may actually win something. But as a footballer, he's mediocre.

Arguably the biggest dissapointment for England in South Africa, Wayne Rooney, is in the squad. He is one of England's most talented players, no doubt, but at least give others the chance to shine and at least show him that he isn't invulnerable. This whole friendly is a joke to be honest and at least the squad matches, Wes Brown ftw.

Mm, Rooney should probably be made to miss a game. Show him England can live without him.

    ... or not :/

So we really are ****** now in terms of right backs. Yes Wes Brown was utter ********* but at least he was better than Johnson. I can't think of anyone who looks like breaking through in that position either so unless Micah Richards perhaps gets a move and plays regularly we don't even have one mediocre player on that flank :facepalm2:

When he retires gracefully from international football he will stop being criticised.

Nigel Reo Coker could do a job though

Capello moaning about England players mental fragility today...

Fabio, pull your ****ing finger out, start deserving some of that salary of yours, and find solutions to problems, not dwell on weaknesses and give up.

    ffs. What a liability. Laughable.

Dunno why everybody's blaming Fabio... there's just something not right with the mentality of English footballers. They just **** off when the going gets tough. Poor souls, don't like a bit of adversity.... :P
