    I mean whats the evidence that hiv isn't caused by aids? I was saying that because you said it is caused by it, so was confused as to why you would pose a controversial question, if the answer wasn't controversial

    Ah fair enough!

    Basically, there are some arguments that state the HIV doesn't fulfill some laws of virology (Koch's postulates etc.), that the nature of the HIV virus means it can't cause a disease, the prevalence of HIV doesn't match the prevalence of AIDS/doesn't meet Farr's law, testing for HIV is inaccurate etc. It's kinda funny, Kerry Mullis (noble prize winner, inventor of the PCR) denies HIV causes AIDS but the PCR technique (what he invented) is actually used now to detect the presence of HIV in some cases :lol: Fairly interesting opposing arguments
