Hi there, are you impatient? If so buy some 'Shut Up' pills, these pills will make you less impatient and teach you to be quiet and wait like an Englishman.

'Shut Up' a division of **** Associates LLP. 'Shut Up' is a registered trade mark in the US and other territories. Please take 'Shut Up' responsibly. Please consult your GP before taking 'Shut Up'.

Edit: I would like to point out that this is a joke, anyone not able to take a joke should be shot like the strikers.
Oh my gosh lol.

How are your OU studies going?
Rather well thanks, currently averaging 75% across my modules which is good but I'm 10% away from a First (I think), my main gripe with OU is the ridiculous standards to get a First, if I were at Cambridge 70%+ would get me my First but no, 85% with OU is required, no chance of getting a First I fear

This weekend, I'm going to be working my arse off to get three pieces sorted for my current module, that way I can come back to them at a later date and amend as required which I think is the best way to go about it

How are you?

Ooohhh well actually the OU just use a different score system than everyone else (no idea why). 85% at the OU isn't the same as 85% at Cambridge.

OU 85% = 70% (1st)
OU 70-85% = 60-70% (2:1)
OU 55-70% = 50-60% (2:2)
OU 40-55%= 40-50% (3rd)

I'm grand, ta. Missing the OU a bit to be honest.

I know it isn't the same, one can dream though :moon:

I do find it to be the most annoying grading system known to man, especially as doing OU while working is near on impossible unless you set aside whole weekends to do it which I rarely can haha.

I can understand that, it does become a part of your life if I'm honest and when it goes, you're like WTF haha.

While not quite so relevant to us, still might be worth a read :

speaking of which, do we even have any standing orders beyond the standard rules?

The best thing to do, I find, is avoid energy drinks. They give you a short term boost, but the crash after is not worth it! Best of luck!

I don't do energy drinks anyway, unless as part of an alcoholic beverage.
Will work until 9 ish, go to the bar and have a couple of drinks, then work until like 5am get a few hours sleep and go
Will probably end up throwing in a couple of hours of Witcher 3 though if it unpacks early enough
