    You can't spend scholarships on whatever you want

    Plus, you don't need private schools for A*s at A Level or applications...

    Most scholarships here also include a contribution toward maintenance costs :awesome: (talking about uni scholarships here btw)

    that's ridiculously unfair :< We aren't even close to well off. I have to now pay for 6th form buses which is ridiculous too! It's like £650 a year!

    That's expensive! How much does each bus trip cost? I'll have to go by train to college, so I'm dreading the cost of that!

    Where do you live in the UK? In the north transport is way cheap and this is highway robbery for us. But everything up here is cheaper but people generally earn less too.

    Boo Hoo... I have to pay for food £1200 a year and transport £1300 so, yeah, I am basically broke throughout the year.

    Like I said - when not in a city things are a lot cheaper - but pay scales. Why do you have to pay for food?
