Aww that's so cool. Getrude is an awesome name for a plant! :woo: I've never thought of giving my plants names. :holmes: I have two lemon scented geraniums on my window sill but want to look at getting some cacti to sit beside them. Your one sounds dead cute if it's fluffy!
Gertrude is a Epipremnum aureum (fully didnt google that) but we know it as a money plant and my new one is a type of catcus. Go to homebase and you can buy baby succulants for 99p and they last for ages when im pn my laptop ill post photos, however my only photo of gertrude is one of her wearing a xmas cracker hat haha.

Yeah i quite like naming them as it makes them more personal and part of the family need a new name for my new one

    Nice

I guess plants can have a fairly similar therapeutic action to having a pet? My dad always has flowers on the balcony but this year he hasn't really taken care of them so they're pretty much dead .

    How are you?

They are awesome names :yep: I still prefer Emily though :hmmm: (That's deffffffffinitely NOT my name, at all :ninja: ) I joke, Bobalina is far superior. I had a cactus called Ralph once (just realising how boring that is!) but it died. I'm terrible at keeping plants alive :cry2: I think I may have gotten over excited and watered it too much

I killed a cactus like that once. And that one had survived being knocked out of an upstairs window (quite high up too, we we're living in flats at the time. ) by my mum.

Adding to the plants with names conversation, I've had a venus flytrap named Desdemona (it died), a firework geranium called Myrtle and a tomato plant called Jess... Pleased I'm not the only one who does this!

Oh dear - that was intentional I assume?! That is slightly cringey but also quite funny :teehee:
Yeah, I was just like  when I saw his soil all dry, and I have this compulsion to water and water cause they need that **** for photosynthesis and stuff, forgetting that cacti are clever beasts and they have their own little supply. :moon: I shall have to get a replacement And we shall have to name him too :beard:
 All the best people do! :jumphug:
