How would I go about finding how close I was to a A?
there is a ums converter on the aqa website which you can use to estimate your raw mark based on the grade boundaries for the subject. when it shows you your ums mark from the estimated raw mark, that means that was the mark you got which you can compare with the grade boundaries. hope that makes sense!

Sadly I didn't pass my english today.
I looked at it closely and saw I passed the exam. Is there anyway I could retake the control assessments and improve the grade which I got today?

    Hi sorry about your results!
Unfortunately I think you'll have to re-take the whole qualification! (I think so, but not 100% sure).

    I got:

    Unit 1 - 98 (A)
    Unit 2 - 58 (A*)
    Unit 3 - 111 (A*)

This equates 267, but my sheet says I got an A*?

In my AQA D&T: Textiles Technology Unit 1 I have 160 UMS - does that mean I achieved 100% for that paper? All I could find was this link which said that the max UMS was 160 (page 20):

    http://store.aqa.org.uk/over/stat_pd...BOUNDARIES.PDF

If that's the case, that would mean I achieved full marks?

It means you scored 100% UMS marks, yep. It doesn't necessarily mean that you scored full raw marks, though.

    Eh I don't know what's going on?

English/English language unit 1F: grade D - points 67. But on the AQA grade boundaries it says you have to have 55points to get a C but I don't a D? So confused

Your marks are UMS marks - not raw marks. Have a look here for more info: http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/wiki/MS

it's fine, err just hope the idiots at edexcel don't decide to move your controlled assessment down a grade when they moderate it.
