Is 6-0 a letter home or a public apology? I'm a little rusty on the rules.

We didn't really know higher than 5-0 so we stuck with the classic facebook apology. In all fairness, he did a good job

Histology is doing my nut in already.

"Here are 200 pictures of pink non-keratinized stratified squamous epithelium. Guess which part of the stomach each one came from".
Just wait til you do Haematology slides, all those cells, stain very similarly, they're all round - but of course, they differ by shade, and oh, that one is slightly bigger, and those have rods in...absolute nightmare.

I believe 5-0 is a facebook apology, 8-0 is a letter home to their parents and 10-0 is a naked streak....

I haven't found them that bad to be honest. Once you know what you're looking for you can generally tell if a cell is abnormal or not :dontknow:

Gah I really hate the lack of internet in this place!

Anyways, went on my first on-call shift last night with the SHO, was pretty fun (I'm sure you docs will heartily disagree!), but bloody knackered now. What a wuss.

:hahaha:Actually work for free? Oh, I think they're serious...

Not sure how much a response this'll get from rotating juniors who are probably already working over their contracted hours & not getting all their zero days/study leave etc.

I will when the managers work the same hours as us and voluntarily give up their leave.

I somehow don't think I'll be getting up for the RWC this weekend!

I'm surprised you lot didn't do that straight off. You'll love it, and its certainly good to be able to help the docs out a little more.

We only learn the clinical skills relevant for the module. So bloods are learnt in the haem module. ABGs I'm assuming would be resp?

And yeah, so far all I've been able to do is fill them in on obs and occasionally I'm allowed to write in the notes whilst the FY1 goes round. And then she asked me to draw a clear chest sign and I had no idea what I was meant to draw

Clear chest sign is a picture of a pair of lungs with a diagonal arrow through them, innit?

And I believe the thing in my sig is a type of firework.
