When? They never seemed to get off the ground.
There was a VONC in the pan-left government when we abolished the Monarchy.

I would say a low turnout does not indicate widespread support but instead it indicates a lack fo caring among union members. the union members are not persuaded enough by the arguments to support a strike, but when faced with the possibility of a day off work paid for by their union they take part, hence the importance for over 50% of union members eligible to vote needing to support the strike.
When the state sticks it's nose in and regulates something that proceeds to go tips up, it should take responsibility for it. Let's give unions the chance to manager their own ballots and see if that leads to an improvement. In any case they can't afford to pay wages indefinitely - there's a reason strikes are so rare across most industries, but they absolutely need to be an option open to everyone. Frankly this wouldn't address the tube drivers issue which is the only real problem, I have every sympathy with the firefighters and teachers and believe they have genuine majority support within their unions and then some. This isn't the 70s,we have the most stringent regulations on unions in Europe and I see no sufficient justification for yet more of them.

Oh yes, perhaps there was. I just don't remember taking it very seriously.

Yes please! I've given up. I've taken my medication and I'm lying in bed and my flippant attitude scares me.

Unit 2 retake - I'm kinda confident in the way that it's not too dissimilar to Unit 4 which I've been doing a lot of, but still got the nerves about ambiguity for MCQs!!!

I would argue not. They should perhaps get the same treatment as the forces, but in the forces they should recurve a reduced pension at least until retirement age and should be encouraged to get a civilian job, or perhaps the MoD should try to open office jobs for former servicemen where it would be appropriate to do so.

Haha, our unit 1 and 2 which is micro and macro respectively for AS have MCQs, but some can actually be quite hard. The A2 which I luckily don't have for another couple weeks have mostly essays, with a calculation in each.
