Running elections is my favourite part actually - makes me feel powerful

You Socialists do seem to operate remarkably well without a leader - I guess it must come of not having a large active user pool.
We operate remarkably well without a leader because leaders are anachronistic, anti-democratic, and useless as a decision-making tool compared to a collective! And that's not because we have a small party - we've about 20 active members, at least!
We'd have more but with the small vote share from last election there wasn't a lot of need.

    But:
Small vote share --> less MP's --> fewer people in the party --> smaller vote share.

    It's a vicious circle.

    No, not really.

Small vote share ---> fewer MPs ---> fewer active --> recruits ---> bigger vote share ---> more MPs ---> more active.

We've had a few dedicated members like me and TDA, along with about 18 new members this term, so we've been lucky in that regard

Often recruits are inactive or scared away due to not being an MP. Which always struck me as odd because all being an MP lets you do is submit PMB's and vote on stuff.

True, but it's the daily updates which force MPs to be active I found when I started. Then I got stuck into debates and it carried on from there.

That'll defo happen for the Nat Libs.
And it has, to some extent.

Is it? I'm not sure that's the case really. Not for teh majority anyway. But I do think if I weren't an MP I would slowly drift away.

Or mention the policies they're going to implement/believe in, or at least put some effort into their manifesto.
Because they don't believe in manifesto pledges

    You're joking, right?
That defeats the whole purpose of a manifesto

There has been a conversation in the Commons bar about renewable energy.

The Green manifesto includes a commitment to increase renewables, especially by the public sector such as on hospital and rail premises. Even if we cannot get to 100% renewables in a very short space of time, the more the better, to reduce climate change and dependency on foreign energy.

Your version of a manifesto, not manifestos in general

When in the last 50 years have manifestos done anything but damage the public's faith in politicians?

When people vote their decision is overwhelmingly decided by how they were raised to vote and/or what their values are. The cruel reality is that - especially in an online student forum election - no one but the hacks involved gives a toss what your housing policies are. You have all wasted your time.

Elections are never won on your kind of manifesto but trust in politicians is almost always eroded by them because the pledges made in them are abandoned more than they are fulfilled.

Then you are leaving a house which could be used by a person who needs a house empty which is selfish and damaging to society.
If you travel a lot there are things called hotels.
You should either sell it or rent it out within 3 months of getting it.
Well I would be extremely unhappy if my parents died and i inherited a house which i would be forced to sell within 3 months. there is ways around it though like singing it your sisters brothers/cousin/uincle name and then let them rent elsewhere

No, all political party manifestos have policies. A manifesto is a published verbal declaration of the intentions of a party. Your policy has not done this to a sufficient extent to argue that it has met the basic rules of a manifesto.

When people vote their decision is overwhelmingly decided by how they were raised to vote and/or what their values are. The cruel reality is that - especially in an online student forum election - no one but the hacks involved gives a toss what your housing policies are. You have all wasted your time.
By that logic I could argue that your party has no point in existing.

Because i and my family worked hard for them, and i would not be willing to sell my house(s) because someone else does not have one
