I found QR a lot easier in the tests. There weren't any of the massive, obscure charts that you had to extract information from in the real UKCAT. It would really help if you could recognise percentages and fractions without the help of the calculator in the test (and all the other mental maths), and learn to use the number pad/shortcuts quickly.
sorry what do you mean by recognise fractions/ percentages? do you mean to able to convert between the two without a calculator?

There were a lot of easy conversions.

For example there was stuff like: 20/60 students obtained above a B grade at GCSE, what percentage is that? Among the answers would be 33.3% among a other options that were clearly wrong.

Obviously don't expect everything to be that simple, but by not turning to the calculator for simple questions like that you are giving yourself incredibly valuable time to complete the more difficult questions. That being said, cut your losses, flag and move on if you think you will spend too long on any question.

I did too with my AR section only. The irony is that is my worst section and the only one I wanted to practice, it was the only section on UKCAT ninja that wasn't working for me.

I had ones like where each section of a girls day (Anna) is in degrees so for example television was 45 degrees. Calculate the time Anna watched television for.

580 in VR and AR and 830 in QR. I had really been struggling with QR up until the last day. Just make sure you have percentage change nailed
what was your AR strategy ?

Yeah so 45/360 because of the angle. You would then multiply by 24 as it is the number of hours in a day and the question refers to 'Anna's' breakdown of activities each DAY. Some asked for a week in which case you would know what to do

AR felt easy but turned out to bed bad (600) so don't take my advice!

VR passages were actually short. My friend sat the test the day before me and said the exact same thing. We both also said our questions were complex. Do medify timed practice and speed reading practice things. You will get 3 T/F/CT or 4 if you are lucky. Questions will be on topics you won't know much about unless you are lucky but doun't count on it!

Has anyone else noticed that on UCAS for liverpool A100 it says that you need to take the Ukcat AND the Gamsat. Must be a typo but its still slightly concerning.
