    Well I originally sat it last year so it was a resit for me. Generally it was on trend with papers of present in my opinion. Wasn't harder but wasn't easier. I found it easier than last but that was only because since i've had another year or teaching with Core 3 and 4 + more practice on the papers. (AKA ignore my silly opinion :giggle:) But yes. I do hope they are on the lower end this year. :yep:

    Most of the people at my college (who are all geniuses) were complaining that it wasn't challenging enough and that it was too easy :rolleyes: I didn't find it that nice :lol:

    Fingers crossed for nice low grade boundaries :yep:

    no silly b = 7 was the answer to the circles question when it said work out the shortest distance and it is right

    I think it was quite a good paper tbh. It was just the cylinder question that threw me off a bit and I miss read parts of it twice. Got there in the end though after 3 attempts I'm resitting the year and I thought it was easier than last year's but that might just be because I turned up to school more this year
    Looking at the unofficial mark scheme I've only lost 1 mark

    5x-3y=-1 was the equation of the line you found. The gradient was perpendicular to AB but I don't think it passed through A. It gave you the point it passes through to find the line equation.

    You needed to simultaneously solve 2x-3y=30 and the line AB given in the first sentence.

    If you look through this thread's earlier pages, I remember seeing a post with all of the answers (and I'm pretty sure they were right since I got more or less the same and it seems unlikely for two people to make exactly the same mistakes). I'm not sure if it's still there though.

    Looks like one of the most accurate mark schemes so far (couple of errors in it).
