I don't remember where I saw this, but some crazy person suggested that "was" was once spelled "waß", which it was not.

Your "F" appears to be lowercase :pierre:

Although my eyes are not trained for Blackletter typefaces.

Have you tried asking in the Year 12/13 thread? Because people there would have done their AS and thus know the importance of the first few weeks,
