I recon that Scotland will definitely go, Gibraltar will probably try to strike a deal in which it as a territory can stay effectively making it independent and NI will see violence on the streets.

Except that this is the forte time one of us has been in and one of us out. And it might have to be closed to prevent smuggling into the EU.
Scotland will go when the polls have been saying they wouldn't go even in this scenario, and the SNP want a year of leading

As JD has said, that border has been open for a century, long before the EU was even in existence. We need to embrace the opportunities now, there isn't any need to be afraid.
All I can say is that after 5 years when you realise what an awful mistake you have made I hope you regret this day. It's not just a step back for the UK but humanity.

I'm liking seeing Lucas look like she's about to break down, and thankfully she s managing to speak with shouting, and once again blaming the electoral system and government

Leeds was in by 2000. Almost a clean sweep for West Yorkshire.

It's not an awful day at all - how on earth can you say that 32 million people having their say and choosing to govern themselves is a step backwards?

    It is a wonderful day.

Another politician ignoring the point of a brexit vote.

It is worrying how many MPs seem to not get the point of democracy, the very mechanism by which they were elected.

I think someone's been crying already...
Because it has divided us and we already governed ourselves. I hope you feel the same when Scotland leaves however.

The EU has simply become a scapegoat for the real issues facing this country.

They see everything as very worrying and wrong while ignoring that their job is to do what the people want.

To be fair, Emily Thornberry is representing a constituency that voted heavily Remain.

Wrong. Their job is first and foremost to look after the interests of the country.

It isn't just her saying these things it is pretty consistent throughout them.

Yes, indeed, but at least Emily is being representative.

I disagree they are supposed to represent what the people want.

It wasn't meant as an attack on her, it was a comment on what MPs are saying.

If the point was to do what the people want they wouldn't exist and everything would be done by referendum.

No, we don't have referendums on every issue because they're expensive and unpractical.
