We must have met, I was at 1 as well? I was the Scottish law student from Edinburgh.

Yes, I believe it was. The young woman who I presume was a student.

Think we're talking about different people :P I was referring to the grumpy, older woman doing the challenges of medicine/insight station!

Thank God for that then! She's either as fed up with the whole MMI process as we are or it's just completely staged apathy!
I'm praying staged apathy... I know a few friends who were involved in the process but they couldn't tell me much even once I was done! I did mess up one station by misreading the notes and then completely forgetting what I was supposed to do once I got in... Oops! But I think its a better way for applicants to "showcase their competencies" than last year.

I did exactly this! Its funny how '2 minutes reading time' seems like such a long time, but by the last station I just stared blankly at the sheet, realised I'd taken nothing in, then the bell went and I wandered into the room like..what am I supposed to be accomplishing here?

Warwick is by far my first choice (not that I ended up with any other interviews) and I cannot put into words how much I would like to get on. But have had my mind taken off it all swiftly. Ended up in A&E with child I care for this week and after several hours in resus we were transferred by CATS to specialist hospital for Intensive Care Unit. Was up for 40hrs straight as child's parents were abroad. Administered emergency medications, provided hand over to paramedics and again in A&E, helped keep her other (very young) carer calm while the team was working on her and when she had to be intubated while we were in resus and tried my best to somehow contact parents abroad while passing on what I know their wishes for child's care would be to the team. Happy to say, that she is now breathing on her own and recovering well and quickly the way only little ones do.
That sounds like you did an amazing job and all you could ...fantastic doctor material

So glad other people felt the same way about the interviewer upstairs. It was my first station, completely put me off! It's a little worrying that nobody who had an interview downstairs had a similar experience, whereas a significant amount of people who were in the upstairs group felt this way

What concerned me was not her manner but the fact she didn't write anything down on the sheet in front of her

I had that at another station, where the interviewer did not write anything down. I was hoping that it was just normal

Same for me, I just thought some of them prefer to listen and write a summary when you leave

Most of the writing they do is during the breaks.

    Good luck!

Now the interviews are all over I don't know what to do with myself when I'm not working.. All of my mates have moved away from my home town and its the first time in my life for a long time I don't have some sort of academic responsibility and it feels so weird .. But also really cool ... I keep just coming on to this forum because I don't know what else to do lol... Anyone else in same position ? Like a life limbo period of impatient waiting ?

Feel free to have some of my academic responsibility. 5000 word law essay due for 12:00 tomorrow. 3000 words in. Gonna be a long night

And 3 of my 4 unis send out offers this week. So instead of chilling after handing in this essay I get to live on TSR and my email account for the next 5 days. It's like living in limbo squared so trust me, I feel you pain!

Worst thing is, the library coffee machine is broken though.

    All in all pretty tragic

Just a little stressed atm! This will either be one of the best or worst weeks of my life, so no pressure!

Applied for Keele, Dundee, Durham (all undergrad, the 1st two for pre-med) and Warwick (grad entry). First 3 all have to reply by March 31st and since it takes a few days to send out all the offers/rejections then it's almost certain I'll hear from all 3 by Friday (Durham's expressly stated they start handing out offers on Tuesday).

On the bright side, 1500 words of this essay written in 2 hours. New record I think!

    Where else are you applying?
