I don't think there is a definitive right and wrong answer for the poetry. We are asked to write how the poem affects us, and if we see it to be about prostitution then that is your view. My view of it was that it was about people being too caught up in their lives to worry about things happening in nature. I don't think they can mark you down for how you interpreted it.
I wrote the same thing, how technology is distracting us from the nature of the world (it mentions mobile phones ect) and how because of our obsession with technology we aren't letting nature come out and bring peace to the world. I also mentioned the twist at the end as it mentions how finally nature can finally come out and release its 'sweetness' and how there is a strong change in atmosphere. in the second poem I talked about how nature is seen to be destructive and dangerous and even brings a trapped and lost sense(it mentions how people were driven out of their homes), whilst making valid similarities and comparisons to the first poem. However, I didn't mention prostitutes or human trafficking(which from the looks of it was important) so I probably haven't done very well

Half the people didn't write about thay and the theme was about nature invading man made or something so they couldn't expect us to interpret that given the theme

okay good, also, how many techniques did you mention? For example, juxtaposition, repetition, half-rhyme e.c.t, because I completely forgot to mention them and think I only mentioned 2 or 3 ;(

I think I mentioned repetition and juxtaposition but not in a lot of detail, I talked mostly about imagery and then specific devices such as personification ect, I think I did really bad, I kind of just made it and did what I could :/

That's all I did, I honestly didn't understand the poems one bit so all I could do was pick up every technique I could find and try to link it to the theme of nature and hope for the best :/

can you still get a good mark if you mention 2 techniques and not in a lot of detail as I did the same? I have no idea how the marking criteria for poetry works and surely there shouldn't be any marking criteria as we all interpret poems differently. it would be better if they marked on the quality and interpretation of your response instead of having a mark scheme to follow

Can someone mark this one analysis for Eric in An inspector calls

At the end of the play, when the inspector leaves the family to contemplate about the events, Eric is fully aware about his wrong doing and power abuse to Eva Smith. We see this in the play when he says "The fact remains that I did what I did", suggesting that even though the inspector was a "fake", he managed to tear Eric down using his weaknesses and insecurities against him. However, it could be seen that the Inspector was just in his conscience and was always there reminding him to choose right from wrong, but as his anxiety and unawareness has increased, his conscience has made the Inspector into an actual human being. However, the validity of the inspector makes no difference to Eric, as Priestley is using Eric as a microcosm to display his socialist message, that we should all take responsibility for our actions
