    India take the series!

Kohli is in some form; lets hope he can take it through to the World Cup! Absolute class batting!

India did drop a few catches but their fielding is looking very good too. Some brilliant saves at the boundary, Jadeja's catch and Dhoni's stumping.

Hats off to India - a fantastic performance, once again, with bat and ball.

Yet again, Australia's lack of a decent attack undermines them. It's always going to be tough with Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, James Pattinson, Pat Cummins and Nathan Coulter-Nile on the shelf.

Their collapse - of three wickets for seven runs after a decent opening partnership - was unforgivable. To make matters worse, Finch appeared to tweak his hamstring. He was hobbling off.

Missing their top tier stars, Australia struggle. That much is clear. The lads beneath them just can't make the step up.

I'm unsure, actually. I think you may be overestimating his dedication to the cause. There are rumblings surrounding his role in Amla's departure, for instance. Rumours of him constantly undermining him have become increasingly pronounced.
At the end of the third test he was doubting the SA test team which isn't good for a captain to do, but towards the fourth Test and afterwards he was quite positive about keeping the captaincy, so I'm not sure.

I still think he can take SA forward as test captain, though.

Really happy with India even if it is against a weakened Australian side. Kohli and Rohit have been amazing all series and Dhoni seems to really be enjoying the captaincy at the moment, which is a really good sign. We have to be favourites for the T20 World Cup, for sure.

ABDV made permanent Test captain for SA. Goodbye, good average. He won't enjoy it.

Seems like he kind of forced himself into it.

There were rumours that ABDV was involved in some undermining of Amla so he probably feels compelled to take the job as there's no-one else. But he's got a busy workload but tbf, don't see him complain about it.

A one day series always seems a bit 'after the show' when it follows a test series.

Interesting how Michael Clarke is to resume playing. If it is just at a domestic level and limited overs only, he could play for a few years.

    It could go either way.

He either proves he has something left to give and his body is still up for it, or he shows he's not a T20 player.

He could be ideal for a BBL captaincy - but, like Ponting before him, I have reservations about his white ball and limited over credentials.

Quite a shame the NZ and Pakistan match had to be settled by D/L, to be honest. The rain only forced them off for a little while - half an hour or so - so they could have squeezed in the extra overs rather than recalculate the NZ target.

Both sides' innings mirrored each other - a mini collapse in the middle order after quite a hefty top end partnership.

Hafeez batted imperiously for a while, but his drop of Ronchi - and that poor decision by Bowden - made Pakistan lose. The commentators remarked Bowden looked asleep a few overs before he missed the knock by Anderson. Haha!

Anderson had every right to stand his ground - but he knew he had knicked it and that would have changed the game, with an out-of-sorts Ronchi and Santner at the crease.

Guptill and Williamson - as ever - showed their attributes and NZ are a real good side. Pakistan, you feel, lack the game changing spinners to cause NZ problems which they are known for.

Amir bowled really well and asked questions of NZ, and McCullum surely won't sleep well tonight after getting a golden duck upon his return.

It's not in the spirit of the game and it was a shame that such a tight game ended the way it did.

It's customary that you give a warning first (take off the stumps and not appeal).

I don't really get how you can be delighted with that and celebrate winning in that way. It's pretty low and ****
