OMGosh!!! :five: I haaaaaaaaaaate romance so much lol! I am not a romantic person at all  I hate watching romantic movies or reading romantic novels. I like anything else though XD Action movies are my fav!
Yaay! It's just so eurgh. Same here. I've got friends that are obsessed with rubbish like Twilight and I just loathe it so so much! Oooh, I like action too, but to be fair I just watch anything. Anything apart from romance

    (Original post by mynameisntbobk)
That's understandable, romance sucks anyways that's a good idea I feel like I'm spending years waiting for them, although I have got a biomedical sciences offer already :yep:
:yep: Congrats!! That must be some relief. Did you do BMAT on Wednesday?

Not really. Majority of my Dads relatives have entered the biological side. Have some relatives doing Pharmacy and it would be tough for me to do Medicine & Dentistry GCSE grades weren't that good. So Optom was left over then had to decide between Optom and Engineering Optom came out top

Nice! If it makes you feel any better, my GCSEs aren't good enough for a few dental schools out there (Damn you, English Language!) so I know how you feel.

It's interesting to know a lot of your relatives have gone to Uni! I am the first person in my family for generations to have even thought of Uni, and it looks like my sister isn't very interested in going to Uni either, so I'm kind of alone when going through the application process.

Aww, sorry about the bad news. Surely they should just keep the higher mark. But I guess the remark system's not the same as retakes.

    Go for it!

All the relatives in Uni are of my generation.
Yup it was English Language that ruined it for me as well lol
And good luck you got any more replies?
You're lucky I was expected to go uni as soon as I was born

My parents are very cool about me going / not going to Uni as long as I'm either in work or full time education. If I have to take a gap year, no fancy travelling for me, it's getting my butt back into college to resit my English Language and work in between.

Thanks, no replies other than Bristol rejecting me as of yet. Expecting a couple more because Leeds is competitive and my UKCAT is well below average.

    Best of luck!

Thank you it really was, especially as I originally applied for pharmacy at UEA, then changed it to biochem at Kent, then got an interview for that but had to reject it - that whole process was very stressful I didn't thankfully

Mmm, great! I've got grade 8 distinction in the voice, trombone, piano, violin, cello, both alto & soprano sax, french horn and well for grade 8 that's it XD
Yeah I play all my other instruments for fun too, though for most of them I have gotten up to grade 7 in them and the others are of grade 7 standard
Great choices! I wish you well with those, hows your application going???
I don't intend to apply for music, though my dream is to be a singer-songwriter!
that's really impressive! what are you applying for?
