Arsenal are in pretty much the same situation as we are.

    - Manager experimenting with a system that does not work
    - Struggling to sign players in areas that badly need strengthening
    - Playing poorly in games that should be won comfortably (Though at least you're winning some of them)
    - Squad players not good enough (Monreal, Flamini, Sanogo - Valencia, Fletcher, Young)
    - Picking up a ridiculous amount of injuries to key players

Arsene Wenger really is funny. Chelsea sell a player and replace him in 1 day... Arsene Wenger needs a player for months and waits till deadline day and overpays
Wrong. He waits 3 years instead and still refuses to replace that player. (RVP)

This. If it doesn't stop today it never will FFS

Wenger better make up for this tomorrow
Even without the transfers, we should not have been playing that formation. Ozil is not a left sided player (he even said in his interview, he prefers to play in a right sided position so he can cut in with his left foot). Sanogo is not a suitable striker, he has never scored in a competitive match. I do not know why we did not start Podolski or Campbell in that position, they are more proven. I think Wenger is deluded into thinking that Sanogo will quickly turn into a Diego Costa.

Could be worse. We've been waiting nearly 9 years for a replacement for Roy Keane.

Well if we don't get a ST, DM and CB who are not ****, then I don't actually know how people could still defend him.

I know this will rustle some jimmies in here but whatever! There is a reason Wenger does not want to go out and get a proper ST and DM, and it's very simple. Accountability.

He knows that if we were to get the required quality we need, expectations raise and he can no longer pretend that 4th is a trophy. He'll put more pressure in himself to do a job which he clearly can no longer do. So rather than actually doing what he needs to do, he will neglect that and distract us with something else (Sanchez this year) By doing such he keeps expectations low and himself in a job.

    I agree.

Happy they dropped points, but scared it will prompt them to actually buy a striker who is useful.

Forget about signing players ffs, it's totally irrelevant atm. The problem here extends beyond that.

Wenger need to take a long look at our setup, it isn't working. We've played poorly all season. There's enough quality in this team to easily win all our last 5 matches. The 4-1-4-1 doesn't work with Ozil and Santi in the team. He knows this yet he still persists with playing Ozil out wide where he's largely ineffective, it unbalance the whole team. You don't pay £42M and not play him in his preferred position.

It's a joke a club like Arsenal have Sanogo leading the line in league matches it's an even greater confusion Joel hasn't been given a chance at all. I wish Wenger would explain these thing to me.

It look to me Wenger is lacking in innovation and pragmatism atm. He need to freshen the setup

Ramsey's form from last year is seeming a little like a false dawn.

Been awful this season. but scoring the late goals masks it.

Somehow, I don't think we are in the same position as you, considering we still manage to win some games.

As for all of these pessimistic people, 3 games is hardly enough to start saying 'we are out of the title race'. We haven't lost any yet, and if you really think these 3 games are enough to tell how teams will end up, then we should congratulate Swansea and Villa for getting Champions League qualification. Utter nonsense that we are out already. Leicester are not an easy team to break down, considering they did well against Everton (and to an extent, Chelsea).

I like you posts Peggles but your conspiracies are getting silly. Arsene is the biggest Arsenal fan in the world, he wants to win the league for Arsenal more than anyone else. Tactics are one thing. But saying that he's avoiding signing key players because he doesn't want expectations to reach new heights is silly.

This essentially. To many people think buying a new CDM and ST will turn us back into the invincibles but no one actually analyses how **** our back 4 and midfield have been recently.

Arsene is the biggest hipster in the world and refuses to do things the normal way. Seems like he's more interested in improving his reputation by trying to be creative and different to the other managers around him.
