Just for reference, you actually need to click on the username when the list comes up. Just typing it in won't notify me! And sure thing!

Cheers!
As I said, I doubted it would work given I'm using the app, but it's a just in case it did

Eh, it's my choice, I'm the one that works suffer abbr negative consequence
And as an aside, it's mass to think of the insane power of nature. 2011 Japanese Quake shifted the while planet 4-10 inches, 2004 lasted nearly 10 minutes (don't want to think of the energy involved in that) and caused the ENTIRE PLANET to shake by up to 0.4 inches for the duration so much energy was involved, triggering other earthquakes ask across the globe because of that vibration. I don't give a damn nearly a quarter of a million died, DAT energy!!!

I also remember visiting a town in Ceylon that was got three times by the tsunami, the initial strike, after it had wrapped around the island, and then when it rebounded off east Africa. The quake accounting for an eight of the seismic moment from 1900 to 2005.

****! Me! The energy involved is pedicure to be about 26MT on the surface, so not much, we've created one explosion bigger and another slightly smaller, but total energy, 9.6TT, with the reverberations felt over a week later. Good week for science though.

Jammy Duel 39 zetta-joules was the seismic moment...

Or the us for almost 4 centuries

And this is why u said we weren't totally safe from nature, just reasonably. Duck of can we stop massive geological and astronomical events from finishing is off before colonising other planets

4 months for the oscillations to finally merge with the normal ones!!!

It'd last longer then 4 centuries in the U.S.

Personally I believe that Yellowstone will go off and we'll be plunged into an ice age.

It's actually beautiful, looking at the graphs for ground displacement globally and watching the crust ripple for hours as the waves traveled round the earth several times

Slightly disappointing that the tsunami only carried about 5MT of energy, isn't our, as I'm the UK's biggest nuclear detonation getting on for that our something.

Makes Krakatoa look tame, only 200MT
The Yanks wanted to make nukes bigger than that in the child war for costal defence, even if it is the loudest sound in modern history

Interesting how in 2004 the relatively uneducated natives had better tsunami survival than the better educated locals because of their oral historical inpatient of past tsunamis. Quite a lot of people were saved by westerners who recognised the signs of a tsunami while locals were amazed by the sea receding by in excess of a mile and a half.

The funny thing about the episode (and ensuing events) is it's led me to gate Indians and people of Indian descent among our powers in particular

Gate or hate?
Hate, although q rather strong word so I think "more than mildly dislike" would be more apt, since I at least mildly dislike people from all walks of life, 'I'm not [insert discrimination of choice here], I hate everybody!'
