i bet we are in it again before you win something

    :deal:
I don't really care if that's the case. All that matters is you won't be in it. And you know that's true.

After City go on another spending free, the top four will monopolise the premiership. Liverpool will probably overtake you lot as well with Suarez and Caroll.

Tottenham has an Arsenal complex, everything they do is to be better than them. The fact is, Spurs has never done anything better than Arsenal, frankly even Chelsea is as big a club as they are now.

Btw, I think the last few games have shown how badly we are affected when Song is out.
I said ages ago how Song is the 1 player who we have no replacement for and the most influential in our team.
If Cesc is out Nasri can do the job (if played there!)

You forget Daniel Levy's money tree, I reckon they'll continue their splurge and make it back into the top 4 before too long. The top 6 will probably trade spots for the next few years.

I think the EPL should have 5 spots for the CL we have 5 top level team and Liverpool undergoing a transition. Even if they aren't auto- quali places, we have the calibre teams all but one should be allowed to at least try for a spot.

I think Spurs will keep on spending, thb not WUMing, if they do and Fab leaves you guys they could go in at your expense. I could easily see an Arsenal team minus Fab and RVP with a long injury lay off struggle for a top 4 spot, especially if Spurs buy an actual keeper.

Tbf everyone thought we'd be out of the top 4 this season with Man City going in at our expense, not Liverpool.

Tbf Cesc and RVP have been missing for almost the entire season and things haven't been too bad without them. I am sure if Cesc did move it wouldn't be too hard to find replacements within the budget.

Having 4 from 6 every year will be good fun though.

It's depressing how average our side is without Cesc, not that we don't have other very good players but his role is so cruical. Frustrating that Wenger thinks we can play exactly the same way without him by using Rosicky/Diaby/Whoever, there has to be some adaptation ffs. We're far too reliant on him

I've heard this exact comment every summer since the invincibles.

If Chelsea hadn't had their epic meltdown (crumble doesn't do it justice) I think they would be topping the table, with United just behind. City would be a few points better off if they hadn't been relying on Tevez, I think Balotelli will have his break through season next year. Tottenham will surely spend again in summer. A keeper is surely a must, Gomes makes at least 1 potentially game throwing error per game. I don't think Liverpool with threaten, but I think once Suarez properly settles he will be pretty lethal.

I can easily see next years end of season 4 table being

    Chelsea
    Man U
    City
    Arsenal/Tottenham

I think Man U will fall back a bit as it will be amazing if we don't miss VDS:cry2:

This is assuming Fab leaves, as you are a different team with him.

Equally, we'd be a few points better off if we weren't relying on Cesc/RVP.

The problem with City is they have a team of highly talented players, but they don't play well as a team and as such get found out very easily.

Which is a stupid assumption, because Barca can't afford him. It will be a while before he leaves.

I don't even think it is about Barca being able to afford him. I just don't think he is good enough/fits into their system. He would be an absolutely pointless buy for them except for the whole 'Barca DNA' bull ****.

You were drilling me with the concept of DNA for a solid week ffs.

I cannot believe I've already been warned. Rofl.

And for whoever the source of the +1 is 'How many times do you have to be told not to make offensive posts like this?'

What kind of stupid rhetoric is that? Crumble.

I'm pretty sure they could if they wanted, especially seeing as they have a near guaranteed £20 million coming in from Milan. I think Fab would leave for £50-60million. £30-40 million summer spend isn't really amazing for a top club.

It's not so much Arsenal falling back its the other top clubs moving forward. Chelsea will spend as much as they need to, same with City. With an unlimited purse you can buy success. I think United have shown their class this season, top of the table and played crap. I think those clubs will make up the top 3 in the next few seasons. Tottenham are not far behind, if they spend, and Redknapp's history suggests they will, they will be even better next season. I can't see how it is unrealistic to think Spurs + a top keeper and a semi-prolific striker wouldn't cause Arsenal minus Fab some worries.

I think Fab is unnecessary, but they obviously rate him highly. He definitely fits their system, its pretty much Spain's system swapping Torres and Villa, and inserting Messi; he fitted in fine there.

True, although I think that is becoming less so. Silva is becoming more influential and Balotelli has looked good, and brilliant in flashes. I think they will probably buy a LB, and maybe another CB this summer plus whatever they can get their hands on. Mancini likes the solid defensive approach, that combined with Tevez, Silva, Yaya, Balotelli, Dzeko is a pretty potent team on paper. I think City are getting stronger and stronger.

Selling Cesc could actually be a blessing in disguise.

Aslong as Wenger actually reinvests the funds properly and doesn't just buy four 17yr old kids from europe to replace him.
