yeh but he would still be one of our best players if he joined us, so not too fussed about him being top top quality considering other than cazorla and wilshire non of our players can even be consider great. He will become an even better player considering hes just 19 but I would be surprised if he joined us. I think we need to get rid of a lot of players first before making signings because we dont want a situation where we buy 4 big earners and andre santos does not want to leave
How much wages is he on since we will free up some from Fabianski squillaci and arshavin leaving (who's on 95k!)

Plus we can afford to make a loss with the stadium debt lowered and so many years of making a profit

I think hes on about 35/40k a week so im sure he wont go to a club offering 45k. How has the stadium debt been lowered?

That's a decent result for us tbh, I thought that was a guaranteed 3 points for the Spuds before the game.

Spurs drawing is a great result for us. Pressure is off tomorrow to a large extent now.

Brilliant result. Bit of a sour taste with Spurs getting the equaliser but great result in the grand scheme of things. As Zurich said, it takes the pressure off us to an extent tomorrow. I think any points tomorrow should be looked at as a bonus really, I'm just presuming we'll lose and hoping we can pull something out of the bag.

It doesn't put off the pressure at all as a win would all but guarantee us a spot while a loss means we need spurs to lose to Chelsea

well even if spurs win that, chelsea would drop 3 points and theyd be ****ed essentially with games against Utd etc to play too.

im basing it on what I saw of him in his blackburn days fair enough its been about 2 years but he was amazing then and he is a far better player in every sense compared to metersacker. Hes not been fit so I dont blame him for being poor against teams like fulham

Don't think you've watched enough if mertesacker

Tbh I think we should go for a great dm and a young centre back who we can integrate into the team over a few seasons as our need for a dm and striker is bigger than cb

Ive seen enough of metersacker to realise he has pretty poor positioning and the slowest reaction time of any centerback ive ever seen. I think he is a real weak link in the defence, his only strength are that hes tall. if we got 70mill im sure thats enough for a striker a dm and a centerback. As for the integrating thing id rather just shove him right in like how city done with nastasic. Missing out on phil jones 2 seasons ago was a big loss for us
