The link was in my post... It was that thing about being an 'emo-nerdette'.
Ah, my dark thought regarding my childhood...: Okay not that surprised

This is a very good point. Unrequited love is the worst :p:

Ouch, burned

Only recently has it been the case, but my last two crushes have both had boyfriends (and been female:p: ).
Well, you sure know how to pick 'em. Perhaps it's just a case of wanting what you can't have.

Yeah
Why is it (once again) just us girls on the subject? Don't guys ever suffer (and I mean SUFFER) from unrequited crushes/love?

Woah woah woah... We do, it's just if we ever talk about it to our friends we just called 'queer'.

Trust me, I've been there... Wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Used to, I spent most of my first year of 6th form agonising over a girl. I don't seem to anymore, I think it's partly just a better ability to drop it if she's not interested and partly just getting lucky with the girls I really really fell for.

Blah, I'd rather not dwell on the subject to be honest.

You can talk about it to us. We're supposed to be getting all romantic and mushy in this thread anyway.

Yeah, but this is very much the opposite of mushy and romantic... This is falling in love with a girl only to have her screw you over.

Yes, yes, yes.

Oh, woe is me.

I always seem to fall for the wrong people, and it really hurts me. I've had my heart broken. But no one gets to see that.

Well, it's easier to 'drop it' if you haven't got into a relationship with them. It's not so easy when you've been in a relationship for some time and they decide they don't like you anymore

There is a difference between unrequited 'love' and an unrequited 'crush'. If you've ever been in love, and then the other person falls out of it, then you know what I'm talking about.

Oh, alright peoples! Cheer up! I don't want you all to become emotional about it. I thought we could have a laugh but I realise that it was a little off-humour.

Oh god yes. Out of 3 fairly long term (over 6 months) relationships I've never been the one doing the dumping.
