8a and 7b aren't equivalent to an A / A* all it is that is means if you continue to work at that level you will be getting A*s though

Word of advice for year 11s.

Whatever you plan on doing, plan something else.

I regularly advise y11s on a level options and it's horrible to see people set on medicine, law etc who just are not capable.

    Positive thinking right there! *sarcasm*

But yeah, I used to be totally set on medicine but then I realised that a) I don't like science and b) SO MUCH STRESS

Instead I'm doing a mix of humanities and more analytical subjects at A level which is a lot better for me. No idea where it will lead but I'll decide that later, at least my options are open.

I think it's good to think about a backup route
People say the best doctors are the ones most dedicated, so prepared to do post grad degrees etc

Argh tell me about it! I want another week to space out my remaining 2 exams because I'm scared about how time has flied I might feel like I didn't work hard enough? I hate those after-exam scares about whether or not you read the question etc

It's actually my favourite maths module :giggle:

This time last year I was half-way through my GCSE exams.
I've just started learning A2 content and I'm now writing drafts of my personal statement for applying to Uni in September.

Time flies - make the most of it :moon:

It's good, yes! It means you aren't stuck on any topics, right? So you don't have gaps in your knowledge.
