What did people think of the series as a whole?

Personally, I think this series highlighted that Moffat gets too few episodes, which for the grand storylines that he creates, make the episodes seem rushed. He had five episodes to answer some questions from the last series (some of which are still not answered), introduce the Doctor's death, explain the origin of River and actually introduce the prospect of Amy being pregnant, introduce and explain the Silence and then resolve all this (some of which is still not resolved).

It's a lot for five episodes, but he won't write every episode as that's far too much money that the BBC will give to a writer. Personally, I think we should get in a co-Head Writer, maybe get 8/13 episodes devoted to the main storyline.

...Not gonna happen
But he gets the exact same number as Russel T Davies had and he always managed to wrap up his story arcs in one series. Plus surely he could tell some of the writers cover some aspects of the story arc in their episodes (I presume he did this with the gangers). I just think he packs to much into building up the mystery and doesnt answer it.

I think the series has been rather inconsistant. It is hard to believe episodes as good as Day of the Moon for example were in the same series as Night Terrors. I think they need to deal with that, I thought they got it just right in series 4 but now it is a bit off.

I like the idea of a co-head writer as it would mean less filler episodes and more consistancy between head writers swapping over. I also hope we finally get some ANSWERS in series 7 as the story is being dragged out beyound belief. Oh and I`m praying the christmas special is better than last year *shudder* .

I wonder if there is a connection between Lake Silencio and the Silents. Maybe they have a secret base under there or something and that's why it's called Lake Silencio? :beard:

There has got to be, especially with the "Plain of sighs/plain sight" thing going on.

You should have begged, sold yourself, got a mortgage, become a street entertainer...
Seriously though, it's a shame that it only lasts a day on that site

These shirt designs get passed around so many different quick-sale shirt websites that it's bound to come up somewhere at some point in the future.

Lots of rumors of how long before the eleventh doctor regenrates - the mixed reaction is interesting.

'Through some we saw silence and the end of all things...'

So the Vampires of Venice can see the Silents and remember? :holmes:

I think the 'fall of the eleventh' could be a red herring?

Could it be the real fall after the rising higher than ever before?

After this series I am going to stop thinking about things and just take them at face value.

Does anyone know what happened to AGI? Not desperate to know incase I'm breaking the rules, just wondering if he's ok.

Who/what is AGI?
He asked to be banned, he had his friend carry a message to me that he trusts me to keep what I was told confidentia and such, but he has been wanting to leave TSR for ages now. I guess something finally pushed him over the edge, I don't know what though.

-AGI is Ape Gone Insane, most repped member on the forum, creator of this thread, etc. etc.

So is he gone for good?

If you're lurking, you could have told me.

Well, Ape's gone for good, we should probably elect a new leader of the society. Although this time I wont be putting my name forward, as the time spend on TSR is gradually becoming less and less, and I'm going to try and avoid spoilers as much as possible for the next series.

I wouldn't be so quick as to count him out. He'll be back. He'll have had time alone, to chill out, and he'll start lurking while he's bored one day. And then he'll come back.
