No my interview is in the afternoon, and I'll stay overnight on the 16th - perhaps they expect I would be so tired after the interview.

Yes I am now living and studying in Hong Kong.

Why did you come to Hong Kong? I am curious how you feel about this city
Well I came there in June 1998 because my father took up a job there. I went to school there for about a year. I can't really remember much though I really did enjoy my schooling and living in the city was great. One thing I do remember clearly was the skyline at night which was quite extraordinary. There was one large building in particular which was covered in different coloured lights which would change and apparently it told the time but I could not for the life of me figure out how! Having come from Karachi it was a completely different experience for me and I really wish I could have stayed longer.

Hmmm, anyone up for perhaps some sort of gathering on the 10th/11th?

I'm arriving at about noon on the 10th and apart from the few hours I'll probably be spending having a nervous breakdown during my interviews (Approx. 3 - 5pm), I haven't a clue as to what I'm going to do with my time. Anyway yeah, I was just thinking it would be pretty good if a few of us could get together and go exploring or something?

Just a thought :wink2:.
To Mags and Yasmin: why not meet at the college when we dump our luggage and then have a walk around?

You studied in an international school, I suppose? That would be very different to the life in local schools.... (Though I guess quite a number of your schoolmates would be local Chinese =])

Yes the skyline is beautiful... But I have no idea about which building you're talking about. =.=

Anyway it had been a long time to 1998 now.... You really should visit the city once more!

I had my interview today, it wasn't as bad as I was expecting! I think I did OK, although I've obviously thought of much better things I should have said since. I met a really nice girl while waiting, if you were in this morning for English, hi! Also met some current students who were all fun, we played Scrabble Anyone who's going to St. John's, check out the JCR cos there will be friendly people there to help you out.

I was wondering if the college actually sends a reply once you send the confirmation slip. Because i haven't received any news from them since then. Should i be worried?

Neither did I.
It's likely that they did not send out any confirmation on our confirmations.

Well I just had to write a 500 word essay analysing a passage.

Plus obviously the very LNATesque version of the TSA.

Thanks
