Went for my first run in over a year yesterday, no idea how far I went as I'd been out on the bike and killed off my garmin battery, but just under two hours of wet and muddy Welsh fun. I'd forgotten how much I enjoy it!! Hopefully get out again tomorrow evening if I can manage my bike session in the morning...
6 mile run. It's horrible starting off but once you're warmed up running the snow is so fun!
My first 10k in 5 years! Clocked an embarrassing 1 hour and 13 mins! 😭😭😭😭
T'was a memorable experience though. I hope to clock less than 1 hour in my next 10k!!
Legs are ****ed, but still just about getting out 6 days a week for 5 miles, some days more. Some things just can't be let go of.
Running so far this week.
Monday, 8 miles easy.
Tuesday, Hill reps. Hard work, feeling light headed by the end.
Wednesday, 10.5 miles steady paced.
Minor panic with my friend when we realised its less than 7 weeks to Barcelona and neither of us are up to scratch.
Time to get serious with my training
Did the Southern cross on Sat, personally had a bad run but delighted that our senior men's team won the title.
Anyone that thinks a Tough Mudder is hard, come and do this (for free). It's about a hundred times more competitive.
