Also close to an A in Maths (3 UMS), are you getting anything remarked? I was considering getting my C1 remarked but I've heard its extremely unlikely to go up.

    Official Predictions:
    English Literature- A
    History- A
    Psychology- A
    Law- A

    What I expected:
English Literature- B (Teacher was adamant no one gets As at AS)
History- A (One half was probably something close to a full mark exam, the other was a disaster. Fire alarm went off during the exam, one teacher ignored question types till the month before the exam and taught from the textbook all year. It was a struggle.)
    Psychology- A
    Law- A

    Results
    English literature- A
    History- A
    Psychology- A
    Law- A

Woah lol, 299 UMS. Well done, FP1 was hardest this year apparently?

Yeah FP1 was pretty difficult this year for edexcel, but M2 was worse Anyone else take these papers, if so how did you do?

I can't wait till I do the FP1 paper !! Ah dam. I hope I don't flop xD when I do it. Anyway, I'm going to do AS next year so it's just going to be fun.

I did both. The FP1 exam wasn't horrendously difficult, it had some tricky parts but I made such stupid mistakes and it ended up being my worst module at 84UMS.

Again, M2 exam had some tricky parts but wasn't massively difficult. I missed out a 4 marker cause I didn't see it and ended up with a 92UMS which doesn't really do me justice but oh well.

    How about you?

Maths: predicted A- achieved A (283 ums with 100 in statistics)
    Physics: predicted A- achieved A
    Biology: predicted A- achieved A
    Chemistry: predicted A- achieved A

Its just really annoying that my ASs don't count at all! (besides maths)

They were the two I was most worried about but they somehow went quite well, I got 96 UMS in FP1 because I misread the last 3 marker, and 95 UMS in M2 because I forgot to half one of the lengths in part b of the centre of mass question. Overall really happy though

All the predictions were those ALPS ones so I didn't really believe them that much, but I honestly didn't think I had got an A in any of the sciences after the exams so was pretty chuffed on results day

Economics at Cambridge, UCL, LSE, KCL, Warwick

    You?
Maths at Imperial, Warwick, UCL, LSE (with econ) and KCL. So pretty much identical to you, with the exception of Imperial instead of Cambridge.

All the best to you! I'll probably get 3 rejections from Imperial, UCL and LSE and then an impossible offer from Warwick. KCL I don't really want to go to lol

Yeah the offers are usually quite high for Warwick but I've also heard they have an algorithm that auto-offers places to applicants with a certain amount of GCSE A*s and high enough predicted grades. I can't confirm that obviously but a teacher at my school said this, since multiple people from my school before have been offered places on the same day UCAS was sent off.

I think if you apply in October time, around the Oxbridge/Med deadline, and you have good AS and strong predictions you're quite likely to be given an offer. Warwick are usually VERY good at responding quickly, although on the other side - I've seen people wait for months.
