That f335 paper was easier than past unless you struggle with the maths I'd say, but the calculations have been in past papers so.. im just worried for f334

Hi I just got my A level results and my ENGLISH is UNGRADED. I took both AS level and A level together. I'm just wondering, is it possible that it is because of my penmanship? My teacher said she expected an A from me. If so, if I get remarked, would it still possible change despite the bad penmanship or will it just be treated as it was?

I'm out and my 3G signal is fairly slow. (only the TSR app seems to be not-so-slow) Would someone please be so kind as to let me know whether the AQA PHYA5 grade boundaries are lower/higher than usual? much appreciated!

Didnt you think im the 80s was a bit low for an A though? Made f335 easier than f334 you shouldnt be dropping almost 40 marks and getting an A tbh, just gotta deal with it...harsh I know

With silly OCR salters mark schemes being so specific it is amazingly easy to loose 30-40 marks even if you know all of your stuff. If you don't say one specific word they want you will not get the mark even though it is clear you grasp the chemistry behind it. The boundaries have been that way for a reason, and it is very harsh to suddenly up them, resulting in your grade being based on which year you sat OCR chemistry at A level rather than your actual understanding of chemistry

Do you really think Languages seem that bad? I sat French and German AS with AQA and think they're quite fair.
A2 units I thought were steep in A*! The orals anyway

Fair enough, I did the opposite as I've pretty much banked on 2 A*'s for Maths and Further Maths so I told all my peers I would be disappointed if I only got A's in them, they weren't very happy when I said that but everyone has different expectations and capabilities and mine were to easily get 2 A*'s and maybe even a third but I've lost 1 of my A*'s by a few marks it seems Oh well and my firm is Warwick and Insurance is Nottingham for A*AB which I'm 99.99% certain I've got I hope you get into your firm
Ah that's fair enough, I do all essay base subjects so it's slightly different to maths. I have a friend like you who already has an A* in maths and now only needs a few high Ds to get into Cambridge. To be honest though I wouldn't accept the calibre of a university that only needed Ds an Es to get into .

Gosh I didn't know Warwick gave such high offers, anyway I know some other people who hope to go there, and I'm sure it's great , it sounds like you should make it anyway. I'm pretty sure I've got into Nottingham too, it's just the third A that I'm a really worried about. I wish Edexcel had released their boundaries at the normal time.

So, all hopes for an A in AS Chemistry have been destroyed.

For AQA Biology Unit 2 you need 72 marks out of 85 to get full UMS and for Chemistry Unit 2 you need 99 marks out of 100 to get full UMS. I thought some of you might want to know as not everyone is able to access the UMS convertor.

Yes, me! My friends can't read my writing most of the time, I hope the examiners are good at reading bad handwriting
My college recognised my hand writing issues due to medical factors and immediately had me assessed to use a computer in exams, best decision they have ever made.

Has anyone else noticed that AQA have whacked up the Physics ISA grade boundaries this year for the first time in ages, cheeky *******s! And the Unit 1 grade boundaries are stupidly high

Because of STUPID AQA increasing the Biology ISA boundary by 2 marks means I've probably got a B overall.

    I needed AAB..

    I'm looking at getting BBB

    I'm screwed.

Wish I hadn't seen those grade boundaries because I'm depressed and stressed out now.
You're so going to get an A in philosophy.

Oddly enough, no. They're usually the earliest out as well :/

If you think you did better than nothing, then yes, let a senior examiner look at it.

I spoke to Edexcel via email, they said the boundaries are coming out at 2AM tomorrow morning. So don't lose any sleep.

Oh I hadn't looked at the A2 units. I would expect them to be high, with the amount of nationals that sit languages it makes it really hard to get A*'s for others.

Almost too knackered to stress out about exams now, just came back from a vicious bike ride.
    I'm pooped.
Cookies and a cat nap on the agenda for today.
Best of luck, everyone. If if all goes to pot for us, then we can organise a mass exodus to Thailand or something. :console:

But what if it was ungraded because of the penmanship? Do you think it would be different for a senior examiner? Or would it still end up ungraded because of the penmanship? Is it even possible for it to be ungraded because of the penmanship?
