With the teacher there as well...?

Sounds like both to me lmao

What kind of funds do you invest in?

Fp, idk I've always been weary of stocks, so not sure if it's worth the risk

1k per year for a toilet and shower... Hmmm. That does sound a bit unnecessary
 Yeah, he just ignores them because they do well in class.

Haha, yeah, that guy is a special kind of human.

Mostly exchange traded funds, like Vanguard and index funds.

Stocks are decent if you take a fundamental approach to them (i.e. find the undervalued companies and watch as they rise). Forex is even more risky, the markets are way too freaking liquid.

Yeah, that's what I thought - then again it's only for first year.

Have you done a budget yet? How expensive is the cost of living at Notts?
    I've got a rough one.

I'll get about £7500 in grant + loan (mother is studying for a professional qualification so not much income), then about £2k from uni savings.

    So all in: £9.5k
En-suite with larger bed (catered): £6,289 for 31 weeks

    Left with: £3,211
£5/night to keep stuff over Christmas and Easter

    Now: £3,036

    Laundry: £5/week
    Going out: £20 - 40/week
Books and stuff: like £200 total
    Clothes: £300 - 400 total
    Misc. Toiletries: £10 - 20/ week
    Phone plan: £25/month.

What about you? Where are you firming?

    (Original post by binarythoughts)
    Hahahah
I'm most probably going to go for an en suite too
Trust me when I say this as a boarder, you need to try your utmost best to get an en suite

I want it for the length, I don't fit on a single bed and I don't fancy hanging my feet off the edge of the bed for a year:lol: but I might have to put up with it.
