I really would like to know what you guys think of this; Ibelieve that I want to go into medicine when I'm older, and I'd like to do BIology, Chemistry, Spanish and Psychology for AS level - but I"m also torn between English; I'm not sure whether to swap psychology for English Language - I was thinking of Lit, but there's so much reading to do for that, and I need to focus on sciences... any opinions?
I know what you mean as I also want to do Medicine and was torn between English Lit and History. I don't want to tell you what to do but I do think you should go for Psychology if you think the reading will be a problem. However, English is seen as the 'stronger' subject I think. However, the main thing is the sciences and that is honestly what you NEED to focus on.

    Great grades though, well done!!

    What's better, 1 A and 1 C or two Bs?

The A is in the 'career path' that I would be interested in, and the C is not if that changes anything.

    A* English Literature
    A English Language
    A Religious Studies
    A Drama
    A Core Science
    A Additional Science
    A ICT
    B History
    B Maths
    C French

So frustrated with maths and history.
Should I get a remark in History?
    I got:
    unit 1: 40
    unit 2: 29 - grade D
    unit 3: 38
    unit 4: 46
although everyone in my class got C's and D's on unit 2? I'm not very sure.

Wow I'm so happy about my grades, I know it's not like 6A*s 5As or whatever, but I was expecting at most 2A*s 6As and 3Bs,
I actually got 3A*s, 6As and 2Bs! Somehow I managed an A* in Physics which I was NOT expecting, (which is good since I am doing it for A level )

My Bs were English language and French, but this is what doesn't make sense.
English language I had two coursework thingies and two exams. In the coursework and one exam I got As, in the other exam I got a D :/
How the hell did I get a D? D: It was much lower than my other grades and I still have no idea how I got it.

English is my weakest subject though, and I am so so so pleased with my science and maths results which are what I'm taking next year so, yay!
It's great to see so many people happy with their results, Good luck with everyone for whatever you do next year~

I'm really really really sad and worried... I feel like dying...
My problem is that I got a D in English Language and a B in English Literature... however, I don't know if that is going to affect my Oxbridge application (99% think it will), and also I don't know what the whole English GCSE mark is (like do I average the Language with the Literature to give me a mark of a C or does one dominate over the other).
Anyway I got a real drive toward chemistry, I got everything related about chemistry in my room I got a massive amount of books about it, I read loads in magazines (like nature.com), and got A* in all tests for my sciences... apart from my controlled assessment. Also I want to add that I'm not British but Polish and lived in England for 7 years.... Does this hinder my chances and do I have to take a re-sit...

Some unis have entry requirements take a look at what they are but definitely think about resitting English language. Some sixth forms offer 3 A levels and gcse English resit and they help you etc

I would have thought so - when applying for uni I believe A level results are the principal focus anyway, rather than GCSEs.
