Haha, I'm certainly no expert, but from what my United friends say it's all to do with Glazers and them shifting debt into united.
Oh no that's exactly the reason why, but it's got nothing to do with players. The Glazers borrowed an obscene amount of money to purchase the club, and most of the loans were secured against the clubs assets.

No he's not. I don't subscribe to this idea that you can play a player out of position and he becomes that. Yes be can fill in there, but first and foremost he's a winger. Arteta plays as a DM, but is he a DM? No, he's ****.

Sounds like you are defending him to me. There really is no middle ground with Arsene now though, he has alienated the fanbase so much now that we now have to very clear camps, In or Out. I want him out and have done so for 2-3 years, he's stale, stubborn and looks helpless. If we end today with absolutely no one I can assure you, the tide will turn and the vast majority of fans will want him out because he's messed up yet another window.

Arsene now has it in his mind that Ozil can play on the left, so he will continue to shunt him out there, he likes this 4-1-4-1 so he will continue with that.
Well, considering Arteta has top 3 total passes and top 5 most tackles in prem since he joined he must have been somewhat successful.

Having been to the basiktas game and seen all the mathes so far, he definately looks like he'll be a successful striker. Henry started as a winger, but you're right, he shouldn't have been played out of position in a striker role during his time at Arsenal, absolute flop... kmt

I completely agree 4-1-4-1 simply isn't working and needs to be swapped back to 4-2-3-1 or even a 4-1-2-1-2 with sanchez and Sanogo/Poldi up front to offer some strength and support.

Tbh once Walcott is back I'd be extremely disappointed if Ozil is still on the wing but that shouldn't be the case. As I've previously said, a solid CDM and a great striker on loan and we're in business

Right, but either way surely you'll be working at a loss with such ridiculous wages unless you sell the soul of the club in sponsorship deals, how long til Old Trafford is renamed the Apple/Google/Samsung Arena

Wages won't send us into a loss.

Liverpool for example are spending 90k (I think?) on Balotelli. 210,000 difference = 10m a year. We make something like 150m a year more than Liverpool, wages won't come close to closing that gap.

Apparently Joel Campbell has requested a move to Benfica. Surely you won't let him go without signing someone?

We've got a lot of high earners off the books this summer, remember. Vidic and Rio were earning well over £100k and Evra, Giggs, Hernandez, Kagawa were all on high wages too.

Don't care, we needed a ST and DM and have done so for 3 years and we don't have that.

    Spent
    Alexis £35m
    Debuchy £12m
    Ospina £3m
    Chambers £16m

    Received
    Fabregas £5.6m
    Vermaelen £15m
    Vela £12m
    Djourou £2.5n
    CL £25m

    Net spend £5.9m

Still haven't addressed the issues we've had for years now.

Haha I was the one who tweeted that, it's really disheartening that the club is heading in the same direction.

We're going to get torn apart by the big teams away again unless we buy defensive cover. I can't see a striker coming in unfortunately...

Fair play, Van Gaal already 6th highest spending manager in Premier League history, he's only been at united 3 months ffs
