Time to watch us fail again

If we make top 15 I'll be seriously surprised.

Yet Scandinavia has the greatest equality and the strongest trade unions.

They also benefit from patriotism however, people are very proud to be Danish/Norwegian and the richest cooperate when given high tax bills.
This is a common misconception as Corporation Tax in Norway is 27%; lower than what some in the UK propose, the highest level of Income Tax is 47.2%; lower than levels pseudo-socialists in Britain propose, VAT ranges from 8% to 25% so Norway is not all progressive in its taxation. In Sweden CT is 22%, the highest level of IT is 59.8% but is offset by a 34% payroll tax which reduces this rate, and VAT goes up to 25%; again it is not progressive. In Finland CT is 20%, IT goes up to 61% but is again offset by a 30% average payroll tax, but VAT goes up to 24% and the minimum IT is 7.71% paid by everyone; even the poorly paid. Iceland has 20% CT, IT goes up to 45%, and VAT goes up to 25%; not very progressive there. When the UK's levels of 20% CT, 45% IT, and 20% VAT are compared we are not much different. The British Virgin Islands have 0% apart from a nominal payroll tax of 10-14% yet their happiness is higher than the UK's. Happiness is impossible to measure and any comparison with Scandinavian or Nordic countries is unhelpful.

Even if the UK does not win we can listen to the language mostly used by the hosts and contestants to realise that Britain is the real winner.

Was quite surprised to see that Israel is singing English rather than Hebrew

The lost the economic argument they couldn't come up with a convincing way to sell it. Their policies were popular, their delivery was not. It wasn't that they were too left, it's that their spin team weren't up to the task of taking on the heavily vested right wing media in cahoots with the tory spin team. We're not talking about the difference between FDR's new deal and Reaganomics here, we're talking about two pretty similar social democratic plans. Economics wasn't even what lost the election anyway, it was "Look how horrible that Nicola woman with her evil plan to eat English babies", and "Look how stupid he looks eating a bacon sandwich, look how much like Wallace he looks, look what he did to his poor, defenceless brother".

All those things I mentioned are ran by horrible, evil socialism.
And all that means is they were seen as too far left. The right wing media portrayed Miliband's labour as old labour, and the SNP as radical leftists. Everything else you mentioned was window dressing. There were significant differences in the Tory and Labour manifestos; don';t believe the Green hype.

...They're run by a non socialist state, so I have no idea what you're talking about.

Norway also has oil production per capita on par with Saudi Arabia.
