Apparently he's overrated and only in the league of, if not inferior to the like of Cleverley. Believing he's better is part of the Arsenal fan delusion.

It best for Gervinho to go. The pressure was just way too much for him. I expect him to do better at Roma.
He's the future of English football. Easily an English captain in the making.

Yeah, Gervinho just wasn't up to it, and in the position he wanted to play there's a lot of demand and little time for learning, really. (Especially since our patience for that has been used up with Walcott's development). Happy he's gone.

Haha yeah sounds about right. Lots of people want to believe that JW is overrated for some reason when he's the best English player to come through since Rooney.

Yeah good luck to Gervinho, did his best for us and at times was actually very useful. Good that he didnt want to hang around on the bench as well of course like so many others. Amazed AW gave up on him this early, normally he'd spend at least another year trying to prove his ''exceptional quality and desire''. Might mean we're in for a winger with Arshavin gone as well.

So the guy who played on the same level as Xavi and the likes at tender age is overrated and better than Cleverly? :lolwut:
Saying Cleverley> Wilshire is the height of all delusion.
Yep! Because all Arsenal fans are deluded. If you think Arsenal will sign a player, you're deluded. If you think Arsenal will finish top 4, you're deluded. If you think Arsenal have a better squad than Spurs, you're deluded.

You what? He didnt finish well, probably overused according to AW, but around the new year he was producing great performances. Even against Munich he was the player who put them on the back foot for that 30 minute period and gave us a chance to get back into it.

Dont really know what people expect of JW. If he plays 7/10 most games he hasnt been amazing and if he's 9/10 its a one off.

Im sure its not, there is no way we can be that poor after 8 years of no spending.

Adding to the fact it was publicly announced that we had £123mill sitting in the account.

Suarez would solve a lot of problems up front where we have struggled for creativity. Our first team is ok but injuries to the likes of Arteta, Koscielny or Cazorla and the wheels will come off.

honestly, how woderful would it be, if wenger brought in this raggy bunch of free/very cheap un-known youngersts, and crafted them into a world-beating team again..

Alas meerly dreams though - those days in football seem long gone

    Sounds familiar...

...Wenger's been playing games with the media and fans for four or five years now.

I think he enjoys it. I don't think he intentionally means to and tbh he's never promised anything, it's always been about finding value in the transfer market and until he does that he doesn't spend.

Koscielney is yet another example of what diamonds he can still find.

We do have quite a few in our youth/reserve team atm. He could do it but then, he'd probably lose his job. Fans want immediate success. League Cup will be one to watch.

What do people think of Frimpong? He hasn't played many games at all and is 21 but I think we should give him a run in midfield, could be a good anchor man in front of the back 4 and he likes to tackle hard

Personally feel that if arsenal were winning games when jack was on top form (e.g. march onwards) people would not be chatting **** about him. He doesn't get goals or assists, but anybody who watches him knows his quality. When the rest of midfield pass aimlessly and hopes for cazorla to do some magic or walcott to get one of his numerous crosses hit his man jack just says **** it and does what takes 3 arsenal players to do by himself.
